Arrival Story:
I saw Maurice online on Petfinder and went to see him in person at the Plano Animal Shelter. Maurice was the first cat I looked at and I knew he was the one without looking at any other cats. He was friendly, playful, and loves to snuggle!
Maurice loves water-- and will get in the tub if you don't watch out. He is constantly playing in the water, splashing it out of his bowl, getting wet, floating objects in it! He also likes to fetch and climb-- anything and everything. He is very fond of sitting on the top of the refrigerator and climbs my hanging sweater bag like it is a stepladder-- two bounces and he is at the top of the closet! We think Maurice must be part Turkish Van or Maine Coon, he is getting so big and he has all their personality characteristics and the "bottle brush" tail and coat. He loves to cuddle, plays hard, and flops down with a "plop"! He likes to sleep cuddled right up next to me. He is very, very sweet.

So my diary has been being kinda neglected lately, but dat's mainly because dat Charlie dude are such an attention hog what with all his eye problems. I was starting to get jealous of how much attention he was getting all the time even though I was not interested in getting dose nasty pills!
Lil Charlie dude has been starting to play a little more, or as he calls it, "standing up for hisselfs." Dat are good, because his running away were not fun. I want a cat buddy to play with, is that too much to ask? I don't wanna be stuck with just da dogs. It's not my fault I'm bigger dan the other cats and more like da size of one of da dogs!
Anyways, I's happy spring is here since I'm getting lots more sunshine time! I like getting up on da cat tree and napping in da sun a lot.

I was diary of the day a couple days ago!!! And my momma, she did not even tell me! That are why I gots to rely on Aunt Kim as a secretary. Speaking of Aunt Kim . . . well, I didn't mean to scratch her eyelid. Really. I was going for dat Charlie dude. I don't know why she has got to pick him up and love him. Am I not enough mancat for her?
Anyways, I gots my claws trimmed and has been being referred to as Ripper. I think Aunt Kim has forgiven me because she has been loving on me again and giving me hugs like I like. And I really wasn't aiming for her.
Thanks to all my pals who sent me presents and made me pictures and left comments. Y'all are pawsome!

It's my birthday and I is three years old today!
I had a pretty good day - lots of hugs and snuggles from all the people and I also got presents! I got a dynamite cat nip toy from Grandma and Grandpa, a raccoon catnip toy from Aunt Kim, and my momma bought me some cheesy flavored cat treats! Those is my favorite - I've been known to rip open bags of them when they're left open!
So it was a pretty fun birthday for me! I hope being three doesn't mean I have to start acting grown up, I'm not ready for that! I don't think I'll ever want to stop being goofy and fun though!
