Days of Diego

Happy Fourth of July everyone!

We hope you all have a safe and fun 4th of July! Mom is leaving us for 3 whole days while she goes to Seattle for the weekend. She is going up to see some band called Duran Duran Sunday night. Saturday night she is going to go meet two of our Catster friends in person!! She is meeting Binks and Matilda! How cool is that. She has met their family but never the kitties themselves. I hope she takes some photos of them.

LuLu and I will be spending the holiday downstairs where it is cool and quiet. We are having a heat wave here. Mom took a funny photo of me laying on my back under the a/c unit. A guys gotta stay cool you know?

Happy 4th my kitty friend!!!! Hope you all get treats from the grill.

A fun week ahead

Woo Hoo!! Saturday is the 4th of July and Wednesday is Canada Day. I think there are going to be a lot of fireworks over North America this week. Thank goodness I have my Hello Kitty earplugs because I get really scared of the noise. So does LuLu. To make matters worse mom is going away for the weekend so we will be alone. Our cat sitter will be over to make sure we are ok and well fed but it's not the same. Mom usually hangs with us in her bedroom downstairs where the noise isn't that scary.

My BFF Jake is having his big annual Canada Day party all day Wednesday. I can't wait. It looks like there will be tons of good food and fun friends. I hope you can come too. Here are the directions: Canada Day Party

Catcher is coming along

Our stray, Catcher Block, is doing so well. He comes everyday around 7pm for a visit. We can hear him from the end of the driveway because he cries out for the lady cats all the time. He is very loud. When he sees mom he does more of a soft voice cry and a brrrrr noise. Then he flops down and hopes to get pet. He is getting more comfortable with the brush too. This is good because I think it helps get dirt out of his fur, he is very dirty.

Yesterday mom decided to test the waters and picked him up. He was fine so she held him for about 30 seconds and then gently put him down. He was a good kitty.

Me and LuLu are very curious about him. LuLu talks to him and I just watch. I also watch for mom to put out his "kitty crack" kibble. Me & LuLu are on prescription food so he gets Friskies. I LOVE me some Friskies.

Now mom has to get a plan together on getting him to the vet. He sprays if he comes inside so that isn't really an option. Poor baby, he wants in sooooo bad too. We need to somehow get him to come earlier so we can take him to the vet and board him for the night before they close or he needs to start coming in the morning. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Mom is kind of hoping that we will all get along and maybe he can be our sort of outside/inside kitty. He is very calm and never starts a fight. Leggs used to terrorize LuLu and go for her but Catch is a good boy.
