Why is one of my kittens not using the litter box?
I have 2 kittens that are around 10 weeks old. I've had them for about 3 weeks now. They were litter trained (I believe or they just took to it immediately) and were both using the box without issue. Then I noticed someone was pooping outside the box for 2 days. I cleaned it up and it seemed to stop. Well come to find out that this culprit found a new spot for that I didn't notice. Now I'm at a total loss. What happened to make one of the cats stop using the box? The box is always clean and big enough. Is it an issue with the cats sharing and one is a boy and one is a girl? They are brother and sister BTW. They share everything else happily and play together constantly. Even food I gave them separate dishes but they both switch off and feed together or go from dish to dish without issue. Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like someone's just developing a taste for an uber clean box. They are moody teenagers after all ;) try a second box and multiple cleanings, that's what I like =^.^=

We also have 2 kittens which are about 10 weeks old (brother-sister). Like you, we have had them about 3 weeks. We were told were both litter trained. One took to the box immediately after coming home; the other did not. We moved the litter box around, had an open top one then a closed top and I made sure the litter was cleaned after the other had used it... nothing worked. Then my husband had a genius idea! The not-in-love-with-the-litter-kitten loved the laser pointer. My husband had him chasing the point around the house leading him to the litter box where he held the point still. The little guy got in, eventually started pawing around, went potty and has used the litter box ever since. As I would say... it was a Christmas miracle! Hopefully the same will work for you!
