This poor little guy has gone through a LOT in the past week! He's gone from the security of where he was before to a completely strange place where they took him to another strange place, maybe he got poked with needles, it smelled funny (like scared/sick animals), etc. He's also got a new sib that maybe doesn't like him so much all the time. This is NOT your fault--it's just the way it is when you adopt. You obviously did the right thing by taking him to his own vet. Stay in contact with them to make sure he has no health concerns. Wait for him to come around. It takes time, love and patience. When he ventures out, don't make a big fuss or grab him. Let him explore his new home on his own. Keep him safe, speak softly to him, engage him in some gentle playtimes with you both. Make sure no one is loud or in his face. Give treats if he'll take them. Just give him time.
