why has my sweet cat turned into a devil?

i found my kitty in a drain just outside my house... he was very small and scared. he was almost the size of an orange. he grew up sitting on my shoulder while i was online and playing with me. he is a precious kitty and was never aggressive at all... but he got frisky and would start to hump my arm. i would shew him away but he would always come back. at 1 year old i was in the second level of my home and my mothers dog (my cats best friend.. they've played with each other all if their lives) ran down the steps and soon followed me, well im not sure if i had accidentally stepped on the cat but he lashed out at me biting n scratching and clawing. i had him fixed but no help.. my mothers dog was playing with him and the cat attacked him and had a wild look in his eye and started to come after me. hes now in a lot with another cat outside n seems ok but once he nipped at my leg but tht was all i noticed... i cnt get rid of him i love him. wat is wrong with my kitty? please help.

Althought it sounds like you started out the right way with your little guy, something has gone wrong. If a cat is neutered late as it seems your's might have been it takes longer for him to settle. My point is, he sounds like he was sexually mature when he was neutered. Also, if he is an outdoor kitty, he is constantly defending his territory which will also make him aggressive. If you did unintentionally step on your cat, you may have injured him. If you didn't, for sure you scared him. But, one time I accidentally closed Izzie's leg in my recliner (he wasn't hurt but both of us got the beejeezus scared out of us)and he didn't turn into Rambo. He forgave me, I apologized all over the place and we were both fine. Take your kitty to his vet's to make sure he doesn't have any health issues. If a cat is in pain, he will often lash out at just about everything including those he once loved. If he checks out, share his story with the vet. Vets are good at animal behavior as well as health.
