i have been force feeding my crf renal failure elderly kitty. she reacts by overopening her mouth to resist and repel food. now the odd sounds after 5 days feeding... could she have dislocated her TMJ jaw joint? this has had a very negative effect on her cooperation. tell me there is some other reason as this is not fixable. thank you

Check with your vet to see what they think and ask them to show you how you do the feeding in case they can help.

Also you may want to get somehting like KlawKontrol bag to restrain her while you feed her. It will really help stop her wriggling and make it easier to feed her without so many issues.
