It sounds like there are two things going on. First, your cat may have blocked anal glands that need to be squeezed and this is why she is scooting across the floor. Second, your cat may have some medical issue and that is why she is eating more and going to the bathroom more. Does she go outside? If so, she may have worms. If not, she could have diabetes or kidney problems. Usually with diabetes a cat will lose weight, however. The best thing to do is get kitty to the vet for a check-up. Your vet will be able to make the proper diagnosis. Best of luck.
