A few bites here and there aren't the end of the world, but there are some cautions. Onions, chocolate and grapes to name a few, can cause great stomach distress and even be poisonous if ingested in large enough amounts. You can google it to find a list of human foods animals should NEVER eat. But, having said that, Izzie will pilfer deli turkey off the sandwiches when I am making lunch, Delilah licks the butter off my toast (I love her, but yuuuk!) and Lizzie loves cheese and French Fries. Of course, I don't get a large fry at Mickey D's just for Lizzie, but you get the point. And, once a cat tastes human food, you take the chance of it jumping up on the dining table to join you at mealtime, or swiping food off your counters. They are better off with only their own food, but it's not a disaster if they get a microscopic amount of your's.
