Simba is lethargic we just gave him a panleukopenia vaccine...

Simba has been lethargic for a couple days now i am very worried about him so we gave him a feline rhinotracheitis-calici-Panleukopenia vaccine will this help we really dont have the money to take him to the vet and he doesn't have a new home yet i know i shouldn't wait but in our family if we spend money on vet visits we keep the animal we dont really want to keep him and we are desperately looking for a new home for him should we spend the money on taking him to the vet or will this vaccine help him i dont want him to die since i am tired of animals dyeing around me i dont know if i can handle another one to die i really want to take him to the vet but i know my dad will say no and my mom doesn't want to spend the money what do i do?

Perhaps you should have asked this question BEFORE you went ahead and gave him the vaccine.
Vaccinating any animal you suspect may be sick is the absolute worse thing you can do. Vaccines work by creating mild forms of the disease to stimulate the immune system. An animal already sick has a compromised immune system and expecting it to work harder to produce these antibodies will make them even sicker.
I have NEVER seen directions accompanying ANY vaccine which do not warn against vaccinating any animal suspected of being ill.
I would definitely contact your vet ASAP and tell them you already gave this vaccine.

Why would you vaccinate a kitten you suspect is sick? Most vets will work with you on a payment plan if you explain that things are tight right now - like they are for everyone. Please see a vet for this kitten - give him the best start you can.

Just curious--are veterinary vaccines for sale to non-vets in the US? Also, a vaccine is meant to prevent a disease, not cure it. How could you afford a vaccine and not a vet visit?
