Pet Head Dander Lion Foaming Shampoo - Safe For Kittens?
Auntie's new kitten is 11 weeks old and the vet said not to bathe her with soap. Does that mean non-soap or low PH level shampoo or NO SHAMPOO!
Auntie has some Dander Lion by Pet Head which is specially formulated to have low PH but she says it does not state what age or weight it meant for.
Ingredients:
water, cocamidopropyl betaine, green tea extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, pro vitamin B5, parfum/fragrance, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone
This is all natural, yes?
Should my auntie call the vet first?

I would think that as long as it shampoo intended for cats and you rinse her really well (don't let her lick until she is thoroughly rinsed off) then it should be fine. Because Persians need to be bathed, my girls' breeders began bathing them at a much younger age than 11 weeks. But unless she is dirty or you are trying to get her used to water to avoid having a problem with her later, she shouldn't "need" a bath. I would have asked the vet what he meant by that "no soap" suggestion though. I have never discussed bathing with my vet other than a medicated shampoo that I had to use due to ringworm a long time ago and Allie was less than 11 weeks at the time and that was ok to use.
