outside kittens

We had a kitten abt 6/8 wks old show up at our house, outside...we decided to keep her now we have tons invested and bought her an outside house...she is scared of all noises and NOW we have snow and she wont go in her house, we have straw down but not all the way around she likes to go under the deck but its not warm and there is no protections....we cant have her inside she I have 3 who are allergic to cats but she is so cute and we just lost our dog ( to kidney disease) the same night the kitten appeared...HELP!!!!!!

Maybe she feels the house is too exposed or not safe. If she gets ambushed is there an out?

If there is one lesson cats teach humans again and again it's that if you buy them something they won't use. Cats are extremely resourceful animals and outdoor/feral cats are especially bright. They have excellent survival instincts and can generally take care of themselves. As long as you are providing her with food and water and she has a shelter if she chooses to use it you are doing everything right. It sounds like she may be semi-feral and just need to adjust to your family and a new place. Good luck!
