Our 11-year old cat is sneezing frequently, since last week.

Oliver, our 11-year old resident cat, started sneezing since last week. What can we do? His nose is very dry, but we don't know if he has a fever or something else.

Observe him and listen to his breathing. If he'll let you, you can even put your head lightly on his side. Is he wheezing? Is he eating normally? Does he seem really tired or out of sorts? Do his eyes look red and teary and is his nose running? If the answers are yes, he probably has an upper respiratory infection and needs to go to the vet. If he's just sneezing and being his usual lovable self in all other areas, he's got seasonal allergies like the rest of us and there really isn't much you an do. Make sure that you power vaccuum your house to remove dust at his level.
