Boris is right. Being intact and allowed outdoors will only increase aggression.

Once you've taken care not to increase his aggression...
if he attacks you, grab him by his scruff (the skin behind his neck) and put him in a room with food, water, and box. Close him in for about ten minutes to let him know he's being bad. Then let him out.

As for putting him to sleep, this is NOT necessary. If you can't handle him, rehoming him may be best, but putting him down is preposterous. He deserves a life. You can take him to your local shelter or find him a home personally, but you need to do it responsibly. No cat should be put down because you can't handle his behavior. Animals aren't perfect, and you need to accept him.

As for him hating you, he doesn't. Kitten play is practice fighting. If he's an only kitty, you're his only playmate. If he has siblings, feel complimented. It may hurt and need to be discouraged, but it means he likes you enough to play with you over the other kitties.

First things first: is he neutered? Being unneutered will cause him to be hostile because he's full of testosterone, which brings on aggression.

Second: Why are you letting him outside? If he's aggressive to begin with, being outside with other cats is only going to increase how aggressive he gets because now he also has to defend his territory from others.

Third: a vet will not put your cat to sleep, that is not something vets do unless an animal is so sick that keeping it alive is only going to make it suffer more. The vet will however work with you insofar as neutering him if that needs to be done, giving you tips on how to reduce his aggression.

S/he will probably will lecture you on why you need to keep your kitty indoor (there are lots of diseases he can catch, as well as cars and other hazards that he can be exposed to). But truth be told, your or your parents might need that lecture.
