My kitty is wheezy.

He's been wheezy since he was a kitten, and it only really happens when he's sleeping or upset. He doesn't really show any other strange symptoms besides just being a wheezy little fellow. Is this something that should be checked out by a vet?

Sounds very similar to symptoms that I had. Have your cat checked by a vet very soon. He may have asthma? I am on meds now and am doing great. I have to have my kidney and liver functions checked every 6 months due to the steroids. Not sure about the wheezing when sleeping though, could be many things...please have him checked soon :3
