My cats eye just was stuck closed?

She's perfectly healthy and normal. She is playful and doesn't show any signs of any sort of issues but I noticed today her eye was a little bit closed and when she just woke up it was sealed shut and I had to gently open it for her. She gave me no trouble at all and still shows no signs of any issues. Her eye looks fine now I compared it to the other and they're both open and look exactly the same but every once in a while it closes more than the other eye. Also they both are a little goopy. Only like what humans get though. It looked like a tiny bit of sleep in both eyes but again no signs of a problem other than stated. Email me please hherrewyn@yahoo.com

Double check to make sure the surface of the eye doesn't have any little scratches on it under a bright light. If you examine it closely at different angles a scratch would catch the light funny. If you don't see any scratches and she's not terribly goopy or having any other symptoms just keep watching it to make sure it improves over the next few days and doesn't worsen. If she keeps getting it stuck shut or starts getting a lot of goop it's time for a vet to have a look at it and give her some drops. If she's all better in a few days she probably just got a hair caught in it or something and it irritated and got stuck shut with the sleep, that's happened to me a few times and my eyes were perfectly fine.

It sounds like she might be starting to get an infection. Wipe it out with a damp wash cloth. A product that I love is PETfection Eye Wash & Cleaner. It will help soothe the eye and get rid of any infection present. It is 100% Organic and safe to use. I have even used it on myself to make sure it didn't burn or anything and nope! I thought it was actually refreshing. :)
