my cat has a fever

my cat has a fever for 2 days now. he hasn't been eating much, and a very little bit of water. i dont know how to bring it down and i dont have money to go to a vet. help please. hes 8 months old.

Please remember 2 things. A fever is a symptom of something else and not a disease in itself. There is a reason why your cat has a fever and there is no way for us to know why. Remember also that even if we were vets here, we could not possibly diagnose your cat over a computer, much less treat it or tell you if what it has is contagious to your other cats. Kittens are susceptible to many things, and I must kindly advise that a responsible pet owner would take their sick cat to a vet asap. I don't know what you are doing to "try to bring it down", but I hope it's not giving your cat human medication. Ibuprofen (Advil) is fatal to cats and it's not a cure for whatever the cat has. Please get your cat to the vet's as soon as you can. If you are expecting Holiday gifts from anyone, ask them if they can front you the money for the vet.
