How will she react will she be ok being outside for all those months will she need medical care I really miss her and want desperately to find her I really need advice does anyone have any?

If she's become an outdoor cat, about the only way you'll be able to get her back is to get a trap called a "drop-trap" or a "hav-a-heart" humane trap (see if your local sherrif or animal warden, shelter or rescue can loan you one and show you how to use it.) Since she isn't really a wild kitty, you probably won't need to treat her like one, but be prepared that it will take some time to resocialize her and she may always want to be outside now. She will probably remember you and her old home in time with patience and love and understanding on your part. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have her checked out by a vet and treated for fleas, worms, etc. if she might have them and have her spayed if she isn't since you don't need to deal with kittens. I would ask your niece if she can pitch in on the vet bill since she got out when your neice had her. I wish you good health and good luck getting Luminous back. Let us know how it works out.

Yes, go and try to find her. It is hard to say how she would react- it is possible that she will come to you on her own- if not, you may need to trap her like Izzie says. If you are able to get her- she should see a vet and be checked over. Good luck!

Yes, I agree that you should go find her. I believe that she will remember you and you may not have any trouble at all catching her and putting her in a carrier to take her home. Bring some tuna and see if you can get her to come to you. She was yours for too long to forget you that easily. You may need a trap, but hopefully not. My previous cats lived with my Mom after I moved out and they never forgot they were mine. They always came to me for cuddles when I went over there. Luminous may take a little time getting used to being indoors again but it is safer and a better life for her. I would have the vet give her a check-up and maybe test for FIV/FELV since she has been outdoors. But if she was up to date on her other shots she will probably be just fine. The vet will know the best thing to do. Good luck finding her! And as Izzie said, come back and tell us the good news when you do.
