is silica gel poisonous to pets?

Silica gel is used to absorb moisture and is used in packaging things that will get ruined if they become damp. I see no reason why the gel wouldn't act the same way inside your cat. If you have suspicions that she's eaten some, get her to the vets as soon as you can, like NOW. Yes, it is toxic.
