I don't know what's wrong with my poor baby):

my cat, mouse, is about a year old. she has all of her shots& she's fixed. she's usually out & about &playful but just recently she has been doing nothing but sleeping. doesnt eat as much as normal, &its rare to see her drink from her dish. (if she see's i have a bottle of water she waits for me to pour it into the cap & then she drinks it..) I do this a lot to make sure she's getting liquid. i havent seen her use her box either. i figured shes just doing her business outside, but she doesnt go out like usual so now i'm really worried. her belly feels hard & its making weird noises (not loud). i did the skin turgor test as well as testing the capillary refill time, both normal. i'm going to call her vet first thing in the morning, but i just want to know what someone else thinks. what should i do in the mean time?? please and thank you/:

I would have gotten Mouse to the vet sooner rather than in the morning. Hopefully, she is okay. It really doesn't sound all that good. Any change in behavior (sleeping excessively, not eating, not using the litter box, etc.) is reason to get your cat to the vet immediately! Hope Mouse is okay. Maybe she just ate a bad mouse outside and has a bellyache! Keep us posted as to her condition.

Don't call the vet. Take her to the vet. She's displayed abnormal behavior. Something is certainly wrong so she needs to actually be seen by the vet.

Sammy

my cat Sammy is doing the same thing and he likes to drink water straight from the faucet. We have to help him get up there. The vet said that he may have arthritas and that he needs to drink alot of water.
