I accidentally hit my cat with my wrist
I accidentally hit my cat on the back of the head with my wrist ( The bony part ) pretty violently when I was going to punch my bed when I lost in a video game.
I shouted out so he woke up and stood up right into my line of fire then he bolted outside the window. He came back about half an hour later and I felt up his head and I think he's a bit swollen but he didn't show any sign of pain, then I noticed him sticking his tongue out and twitching his head before he went to eat. He then followed me outside for a cigarette and then slept for about 10 minutes in front of my laptop, then went into the kitchen to try find some scraps and now he's sleeping on my lap. He still twitches his head but otherwise he's acting normal.
I can feel my wrist swelling up so I figure it's 10 times as worse for him. Do you think I broke his skull or gave him a concussion ? If so what should I do?
He's a one year old male maine coon mix

Just to be safe, I would definitely take him to a vet to get checked out. It sounds like he has some head trauma, and I would not want to take any chances. Freak accidents happen, just honestly explain to the vet what happened.

Your kitty can have some trouble with internal ear, they shake their heads when something is wrong inside.
So i agree a vet visit is needed in this case.

In addition to some anger-management classes for you, I do think a vet visit is in order for kitty, especially with the Holiday Weekend coming up. If you don't have a vet for him, now would be a good time to find one. If you hit him so hard that you injured YOURSELF, you're right, it's probably worse for him, especially since the injury occured to the back of his skull which is a particularly sensitive area. He could be hemmorhaging into his brain and only a vet exam can tell if he's truly OK.

You actually have to ask us what you should do? Of course he needs to go to the vet. You should have taken him as soon as you noticed that he wasn't acting right. If you hurt yourself, you probably seriously hurt him. You were trying to punch your bed that hard just because you lost in a video game? Yes, you have anger mangement problems & you really need to get yourself some help AFTER you take the cat to the vet for help. With all the troubles in the world & in life in general, losing a video game should be the least of anyone's worries.
