Do you know when your cat got pregnant? 63-65 days is the usual gestation period, and cats are much more regular than humans in keeping to schedule. Your cat will experience a decrease in body temperature several days before birth. Either check out this on the Internet and buy a cat thermometer, or have your vet do it. Now your main duty is to provide a birthing space, which many cats avoid. The simplest and cheapest birthing space is a cardboard box with a hole cut in the side--placed above the bottom, so Momcat can get out but the kittens can't until they become around a month old. Put old towels in the box--catbirth can involve bodily fluids, and kittens cannot manage their body heat for the first few weeks of life. Cats usually have very easy births. Look up Internet sites that will tell you what you may need to do if you run into a problem. And we are here to give advice, anytime. I can almost guarantee that Momcat will work things out--her way.
