The best way, since you know your kitty and what she likes and doesn't like, is to surf the web for recipies for cat treats. None of the treats are really difficult to make. You can also go to the Forums section of this site and click on Food. Chef Skylar's Open Restaurant, a group on Catster may also be able to help you find recipies. Just click on Groups under the Community tab.

jerky style treats would probaby be the easiest. Get a food dehydrator and follow it's directions for drying meats. Use chicken breast, turkey breast, salmon, maybe even veal if you're going to splurge. (don't use pork products as it can contain parasites and drying isn't the same as cooking and wouldn't kill the parasites) I'd try not to use much, if any, seasoning (only a little salt IF the directions call for it) make sure to put it into cat bite sized peices before drying as it'll be difficult to cut up afterward. If it calls for a marinade you can use catnip in place of any herbs in the recipie and nothing spicy.

The easiest possible cat treat you can make would simply be to purchase a pack of tuna canned in water. Every cat in the world loves tuna, I have never met one that doesn't!
