Does my kitten have worms?

My kitten, Melanie, is about 5 months old. It always decides to never use the the litter box. He will go to the potty in the bathroom(where it's litter box is located) but he always will go somewhere else in the bathroom instead of the litter box. When i see him I usually have to pick him up and and place him in the litter box. Then he will do what he needs to do right away. I thought maybe it's just because Melanie isn't neutered, but his brother does use the litter box. Thank you so much if you know!

Most kittens are born with worms, especially since your page says the kittens were born to a stray mother outside on your porch. If they have not been to the vet, then they should go and be de-wormed and get their vaccinations. However, that is not really a reason to be going potty outside the litterbox. There may be some other health issue going on and the vet can check that out as well. Or it may just be that he doesn't think it's clean enough or he doesn't like the litter brand or the location of the box may make him nervous. Also, if both Malanie and her brother are not neutered, that needs to be done as soon as possible because they are getting to the age where she will end up getiing pregnant and making more kittens.
