NO!!!! Cat's whiskers are used for balance and navigation and should NEVER be trimmed or cut off. Just leave them alone!!!

Good Lord NO!!!! Izzie is right. Never cut a cat's whiskers!! They use them for balance and to judge space. Without them she could get trapped in small spaces and injure herself.

No!! Suggest reading the Cat Manual on the site (tab above)...it explains things very well (and humorous too)...flick through to the section Body basics: The Cat's head

Cats pretty much take care of all their grooming. You don't need to trim their fur or whiskers and they don't need baths like dogs do. Since Mariah has long fur you'll just need to brush her and trim her claws and she'll take care of the rest.

Micki

No because cats whiskers are grown the same width as the cat so when they go into a tight space they can tell straight away whether or not they can fit through.
