Peaches

Cupcakes for cats

Peaches birthday is tomorrow and I need to make cat food cupcakes for her and Gracie to eat at the party. Does anyone have ideas on cat food that will stick together?

I understand that you'd want Peaches to celebrate her birthday with a "cake" of some sort, but most of the human recipes would cause her great gastric upset and a trip to the vet. When my Golden Retriever was very ill, I ground up dry food for her in a food processor and then added chicken boullion (organic-low sodium) to make a stiff "dough". I remember baking them in a slow oven (about 325 or so) for about 10 or 15 minutes. I made balls out of it but you could just as easily put them in a cupcake tin. You can't use frosting as that would make Peaches very ill. Have the humans enjoy the regular cupcakes and have Peaches just enjoy all the toys they'll bring!

Mommy makes me beef ones. She takes a little bit of raw but really high quality beef and makes it really cold but not frozen. Then she takes cream cheese and rolls it into a ball with the beef. That's put in the fridge until I get to nom on it!

I love it!
