Cats stomach making loud noises
My cat is about 10 years old and has recently got over cat flue, but now his stomach is making really loud, kind of squeaky noises, which it has never done before, do you know what could be up?

The cause for stomach noises in both humans and/or cats is usually air in the intestines. If your cat wasn't eating when he was sick, he may be making up for it now and eating too quickly--swallowing too much air. Also, if he was on antibiotics, they can mess up the digestive system as well. If you notice that he has diarrhea or loose stool, is off his feed, not drinking water or is passing gas a lot more than he used to, check with your vet. They may prescribe a simple course of anti-gas medicine. When Izzie had this problem, my vet prescribed a kitty dose of Prevacid and he was fine. But don't give it to your kitty on your own. Too much can make the problem much worse and make him sick again.
