Can kittens/cats eat raw egg ?

There seems to be so much debate on the Internet over it. Surely they'd be eating them in the wild ??

They don't eat eggs often in the wild, and they don't get an opportunity to eat -chicken- eggs in the wild very often at all. Plus, with today's factory farms chickens often in live in pretty unsanitary conditions and you have to figure that could increase the risk of finding food poisoning bacteria in a raw egg. Better to be safe and avoid letting kitty into the raw eggs. They can sample your cooked eggs as long as they don't have things like onion or garlic seasoning them, but eggs are not nutritionally balanced for cats so don't let them become a major part of their diet, keep it to a few bites just to get a taste.

Cats do not eat eggs in the wild. Raw eggs may carry salmonella which is why its suggested that we cook them before we eat them. Give Kitty a couple bites of your omlet if they insist but its probably the butter they want.
