Can a kitty die of aspirating it's own vomit?
My healthy 6 year old cat was recently found deceased. The Vet said she died of aspirating some of her own vomit. How common is this in cats? I had hired a neighbor to come in and feed/water/scoop boxes while I am out on the road, (I'm a long haul LadyTrucker) Vet said her stomach was empty, it looks as though she had vomited twice on her way to the kitchen, where she had passed away. I am bereft and heartbroken to lose my favorite fur baby this way! Is it really possible for a healthy cat to die this way??

No. Cats don't drown on their own throwup. Rockstars do. The only way you will ever know what happened is to have a necropsy done on your cat which is the same thing as an autopsy that is performed on humans to determine cause of death. This would include a toxicology report to rule out poisons. There are many household items that are poisonous to cats. Antifreeze. Aspirin. Tylenol. But without a necropsy you can never know for sure. I'm sorry for your loss and I know Kitty would have greeted you at the door as soon as you came home if she was able
