2 Current cats eat dry food, 2 new cats only eat wet
Hello all,
We currently have 2 cats (m/f littermates, 1 1/2 years old) who eat dry food (Blue Buffalo Wilderness which is grain-free), and we occasionally give them wet food as a treat.
We are adopting another pair of m/f littermates (7 months) from a rescuer that only eat wet food. She insists she has tried all kinds of dry food (her other 20-some rescue cats will eat dry), but they only eat wet food.
I'm curious what the best way to do the feeding if we cannot get them to eat dry food. Ideally, we want to get the 2 new cats to eat dry food, but if they are only eating wet, I don't want our current cats to feel like we are neglecting them by not giving them wet food, also.
I'm thinking of splitting a 1/4 can of wet food with the current cats when it is feeding time for the new ones so there is no jealousy.
Any thoughts on the best way to do this would be greatly appreciated.
