13 week old kittens still nursing! Should I intervene?

My 13 week old kittens are still comfort nursing on their (recently spayed) mama. Should I intervene by separating them,or let them decide on their own when it's time to stop? (They're eating plenty of dry and wet food and drinking water.)

Truthfully? I wouldn't intervene. When I taught, I had 4 and 5 year olds who still sucked their thumb and I had an adult friend who still had her security blanket. They were (are)normal, well-adjusted people. If you try to put a stop to it, the kittens will just transfer to something else like a blanket, stuffed toy or as in the case of another friend, an earlobe. (ick)If the kittens are otherwise well adjusted, normal, social and happy with themselves, I'd just let nature take it's course. Mom will let them know when she's had enough and they'll listed to her.
