- Kitten – From birth up to approximately a year, a kitten will be dependent first on its mother and then on its human. This is the time when cats develop the most. 1. Get Them Spayed or Neutered

Cats are obligate carnivores and require specific nutrients found in meat, such as taurine, in their diet.
