Earlier this month, a horrific fire occurred at a house in Melbourne, Australia. Even with the property ablaze and smoke billowing all around, the abode’s owner, Craig Jeeves, appeared to be snoozing his way to an early departure from this world. That is, until his tabby cat Sally came to the rescue.
Sensing the magnitude of the danger that was engulfing the house, Sally leaped onto Craig’s chest and began to frantically meow and paw at his torso. Luckily, Sally’s actions came in just enough time to wake Craig up and allow him to plan an escape mission.
After scooping Sally up in his arms, Craig and his cat made a successful dash from the soon-to-be-charred house. As a Facebook update says, “The fire service said he was lucky to have gotten out in time.”
Now that they are safe, let’s all take a moment to salute Sally, a real deal antipodean Catster hero.
