KATRIS Modular Cat Shelves Review (2025): Pros, Cons & Features

I’ve long been a fan of KATRIS modular cat furniture. KATRIS is a system of cardboard shapes that you can arrange in endless configurations. Remember the computer game Tetris? You get the idea. KATRIS uses super dense paper for the construction of these sturdy pieces, and they also offer covers in multiple colors so you can make Katris part of your home decor.

We reviewed the original Katris system two years ago, and we reviewed KATRIS Lynks, two pieces that can function as standalone scratchers or be added to the existing blocks or furniture, earlier this year.

KATRIS is excited to introduce the newest offering to its product line: KATRIS Shelves wall mountable modular cat shelves.

KATRIS Shelves adopted the same durability, shred-resistant material, and modularity from the original KATRIS Blocks. The KATRIS R&D team spent 18 months to create the unique wall mount kit for the KATRIS Shelves.

Like KATRIS Blocks, KATRIS Shelves are hand assembled from 100% recyclable cardboard, using 90% post-consumer recycled content to protect our environment. The wall mountable KATRIS Shelves have a weight limit of 75 lbs. KATRIS Shelves are the only 100% fully recycled paper made cat shelves on the market today. There are five different shapes available – I, L, O, Z, and T shapes. You may choose any type of the configuration to fit your home décor and space.

KATRIS Shelves offers countless combinations for your feline family members to climb, leap, and bound high up on the wall, creating a fantastic playground for cats who like to be up high.
