Two Years Since You've Been Gone

Dear Socks,

It's two years since you've crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We still miss you so much. Every day you would greet us, survey your yard and keep it safe from intruders. You and Tigger were the best of friends and I know you're still roaming together. Together you two were formidable. Remember the time you chased the two young raccoons away? You were also so loving. Lauren always made time for you when she would come home from college, and you couldn't be happier. We love you very much and pray that you're happy and safe. You are in our hearts and always will be, Big Guy.

Socks my big handsome man. I miss seeing your greetings every day. I miss you guarding our house and our other pets. I miss you big fur ball, so beautiful and regal. You are in my heart forever.

A Time to Remember
By John Quealy

They come into our lives for such a short time
A time we wouldn't trade not even for a dime
Then before you know it the years have flown by
And then all of the sudden we're saying good-bye

It wasn't that long ago we said our good-byes
We held on to you tight as you closed your eyes
Your spirit has flown home on the wings of a dove
Into God's loving arm's; in heaven above

Over the days we've shed many tears
But the memories we have will live on for years
We feel your presence and we know that your near
You're keeping us safe and calming our fear

We think about memories from years past
When you were young and strong and ran so fast
We remember all the great times that we all had
How you always made us happy never made us mad

They were the best and happiest years we had
We'll always look back on them and never be sad
We look forward to the time we'll be together again
And we thank the Lord for such a great friend

Now you run and play up in Heaven above
Cradled in God's arms covered with his love
Playing by the Bridge waiting for the day
We come down thru the meadow to the bridge to stay

The love that you showed us we'll never forget
Because to us you're one very special pet
You're like a star in the dark of night
Always watching over us with the Lord's light

So now we take time to remember our best friend
Who will always be with us even to the end
We'll always remember you the way you were
One big lovable huggable pile of fur

Dear Socks,

It's Rainbow Bridge Day and almost a year since you left us. How could we ever forget you! You've always been so loved by your mom & dad, yours human kids, your pups and especially your Tigger and Prissy. Thank you for always guarding our house from all the little critters, and even trying to keep the raccoons away. You were always fearless! We all appreciate your loyalty and loving ways. You always had time to receive a hug and to give a purr. We all hope that you are getting to relax and have some fun up at the bridge. You certainly deserve it sweet kitty. We all love you and miss you big beautiful boy. Big hugs to you. MWAH - and big kisses.

A Simple Message from your Pet

To have loved and then said farewell is better than to have never loved at all.
For all of the times that you stooped and touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and
returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you. For the care that you gave to me
so unselfishly. For all of these things I am grateful and thankful. I ask that you grieve
not for the loss but rejoice in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each other's lives.
My life was fuller because you were there, not as owner, but as my friend. Today, I am
as I was in my youth. The grass is always green, butterflies flit among fthe flowers and
the sun shines gently down upon all of God's creatures. I can run, jump and play
and do all of the things that I did in my youth. There is no sickness, no aching joints
and no regrets and no aging. We await the arrival of our lifelong companions and know
that togetherness is forever. You live in our hearts as we do in yours. Companions such
as you are very rare and unique. Don't hold the love that you have within yourself.
Give it to another like me and then I will live forever. For love never really dies,
and you are loved and missed as surely as we are.

Your pet in heaven.

Master of De Skies....

Today in Rainbow Bridge Angel Babies, I was given my new scooter to go on the Tour de Clouds!!! My sister Annie is there with all her dog pals. So far I'm the only cat. And would you believe it, the photo in the group was of a GIRL cat!!! Now I like girls and all, but I'm definately a male!!! The photo was changed so I appropriately looked like a boy. But we had a little fun with it and they didn't know if they were chasing a girl or boy cat. That's because I'm the Master of De Skies (disguise) hehehehe...

Missing Socks

Tigger is really missing you Socks. He is so sad without you. He took over Prissy's bed and stays in there a lot. But he doesn't chase Prissy away anymore, and let's her sleep on the bed next to him. Looks like you don't have to defend her anymore. Tigger is getting visits from a Siamese cat that we've never seen before, so hopeful he won't feel so alone. Even Georgie still looks for you every time we come home from a walk. I look for you every morning and call all of the cats Socks before I realize I'm doing it. Dad still fills 3 bowls of food.

Dad brought home your ashes tonight. So sad, but we are so glad you are home with us. You're resting with Boomer your lifetime buddy and Annie. We all miss you my big kitty, but you will live in our hearts furever.

Love you baby,
Mom
