Part II

Howdy friends. Sorry I had a bit of a freakout this morning. Sleep deprivation will do that to you. I want to say thank you for all your comments and suggestions.

I thought I'd mention some of the details about the meowing.

I really think it's over her wanting to go outside. It's mostly at night and in the very early morning. She sits either by the door or in the window and yells, and yells and yells. She does sit in the window by the door, stares outside, even though that's the window with the least amount of scenery, so I have no idea what she's looking at!

She is fixed.

And I think you guys are right, she probably needs a friend. Unfortunately, I'm not at a point I can do that.

She also do need to go to the vet. I'll try to get her in early next week.

I'll try to get some video of her too.

At my wit's end

I cannot take this constant meowing anymore! I am losing my mind. Monida is screaming at the top of her lungs until she's making herself sick. I can't handle it. The calming collar is supposed to be here tomorrow or so, and I'm desperately hoping it will work because I'm quickly running out of ideas and options.

Ok. Just a rant from a sleep-deprived, extremely stressed cat mom.

Guys - I need some advice.

Monida has started meowing and yelling nonstop. I can't take much more of it. It starts around 6:30 a.m. and continues all day and night. It's only a matter of time before my neighbors start to complain - if they haven't already. It's crazy ridiculous hard to find a place that accepts cats, in fact, I think the complex I live in now has stopped accepting pets. I can't get kicked out.

I don't know what to do. I've tried ignoring her. I've tried spraying her with water. I've put her in time out, nothing helps.

Does anyone have any advice? She is due for a vet checkup soon, but I really doubt it's medical. I think she just wants to go outside.

Please help.

It's my birthday!

Whoa! It's my birthday today, and mom almost forgot! Luckily I have all of my pawsome friends!

Thanks for all the good wishes and presents! I can't believe I'm 4. That means I've lived with mom for 3 1/2 years. Hard to believe.

I'm still really enjoying my new abode. In fact, I've been really surprising mom - I've been acting more like a cat! I like to lay in the sun (I've never done that before!), and I play with my toys and chirp at the squirrels.

Oh!! Speaking of squirrels! There is a MEAN squirrel who sits outside my window and taunts me. He stares at me and flicks his tail. Ooohhh. I'll have the last laugh, Mr. Squirrel!!

Well, I'm going to go cheer on my Packers, but I'll be back before too long!

Request for a few purrs

Hi friends!

I was wondering if I could ask for some purrs for a few friends of mine.

I was sad to learn this morning that my pal Moses' dad unexpectedly left for the Rainbow Bridge. He fought in Iraq, and was a good cat dad. Could you maybe stop by and send your purrs?

My friend Colleen is battling a lump in her jaw. :( She's taking medicine for it in hopes that it's an infection. Please help me purr that it's not that dreaded c word.

And my pal Natalie is battling her tail. She is getting new medicine, so I hope that will help her!

Mom and I are sorry that we still haven't been around too much. We do stop by and check in every day, but we haven't had too much time to comment or write diaries. Mom is way busier than she thought she would be. Hopefully things will settle down when she finally gets used to her job.

I'm doing good! Mom let me go outside in the courtyard a few weeks ago, and now I like to sit at the door and scream for hours for her to let me outside. She says I'm going to get us evicted. I've also managed to dash past her through the front door, and instead of just rolling on the ground like at our old place, I run to chase squirrels and bunnies. She's taken to spraying vinegar around the door when she leaves so I don't run out. What the heck, mom?!

And I still want to do a photo contest, but it might have to wait a little while longer. But we haven't forgotten.

Back for real!

WHOOHO! Mom finally got our wireless hooked up, which means she can type for me and not have to sit at an awkward angle on the floor, which was killing her back. So we should be back for real now!

Thanks everyone for the delicious cake!! I've been eating it while watching the Oh!Lympics. Have you all been watching? What's your favorite event.

Back! Sorta ...

Hi everyone! Well, we finally got Internet at home, so I can come play again! But it might be a little while longer before we are back regularly. Mom's schedule is kinda up in the air for a bit, and we're both still trying to get settled.

But hopefully we'll be back soon. I sure do miss you all! Sorry if we've missed any special days.

Monida moves

Hi everyone - Mo's mom here. This wasn't the first diary entry I was planning on writing after our move, but here it is.

So this morning Mo decided to explore under the bed when I heard a sick thump/cracking noise. I have no idea what it was - but I'm kinda assuming Mo hit her head on the bed frame. She seems ok - but it was a scary noise. Her pupils are the same, and she drank some water and isn't vomiting.

Then the new place smells a little like new paint and varnish, and everything is sticky with I don't know what. So I've been wiping everything down with clorax wipes.

Anyway, I know I'm probably being way paranoid and over worried, but can you all just purr a small purr that Mo will be ok here? I have to leave her for a day and night tomorrow and I'm so worried about her. (I tend to stress - a lot!)

Thanks friends. Sorry to bother you, but you're all so wonderful and helpful. I'll write more of our adventure later!

Some like it hot

Some like it hot - I am not one of those! It's sooo hot here kitties. :( It's not as hot as other places, but I'm not used to this 90-degree temps. To make things worse, our apartment has only west and east facing windows. Mom says that I might have to go to the kitty spa this week as it's supposed to get into the upper 90s and mom is worried about me being in such heat.

It's a celebration!

Hi all!

Man, I think I need to get my mom one of those Calming Collars! She is stressing out about the move. So to help her destress, celebrate the move and spend some time with our friends, we're throwing a party!

It's going to be held in my Catster Fun Time group, and there will be plenty of food, music, and fun! We were going to start it tomorrow morning, but let's make it a weekend thing! We probably won't be in much today, but we'll be around on and off tomorrow. Mom's also sitting on dogs until tomorrow, so she's been busy with that.
