Oh my! I have the greatest friends in the world! They made Catster fun again! Have you seen some of the latest adventures? Pharoah is kitty-sitting, Chef is cooking, and I think Nuk might still be a butterfly ... :) Nuk also hosted a fun game that might have got him a smacky paw or two. What have you been up to? I want to hear!

Mom thought we were the only one saddened and stressed by Catster recently, but we've noticed that many of our friends are also sad and even thinking of leaving, which makes us cry.

So we're throwing down a challenge. Let's make Catster fun again! There's been so much going on with friends lately, and we want to hear about it! Milo has a new baby brother! Abbie and Heidi have two(!) new brothers. Pharoah Loki is being attacked by alligators and mushroom people! Kitty Pryde is trying to keep Indy in his place. Nuk/Anuk has apparently been changed into a butterfly. And so much more!

Come on everyone! We can do it! We can make this place as fun and exciting as it was just a few weeks ago. So write about your latest adventure, leave some silly comments or even upload that new fun picture your mom or dad took of you.

Rouge antivirus spyware

I found out that some in Catsterland got the same virus I did. It's called Antivirus soft, and it pretends to alert you to viruses and then tries to get you to buy a program. My Catster anniversary and other stuff

Hi everyone - sorry I haven't written in awhile. Mom's been kinda sad and depressed by all the unhappiness that seems to be going around Catster lately. It's been so quiet. I know people are upset about some of the changes, but what I find amazing is that HQ is actually listening and changing the format based on complaints. When have you ever seen another site do that? Has facebook ever made any changes you've suggested?

And I know the nutro issue is a whole other deal. But we as a community need to stick together! There are friends among us who are hurting and going through difficult times and we need to show them the same love and support we did before the redesign. Please don't let your anger over a beige carpet background overpower what catster is really all about - friends!

Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now. I just really hope everyone can get past all of this and we can go back to the loving, supporting catster of a few weeks ago.

Mom and I just celebrated my one-year anniversary on catster the other day. Thanks to everyone for being my friend and I hope there's plenty more years of friendship to come!

Bad Mommy!

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of The Scratching Post? Mom realized too late that we weren't signed up for it, and it sounds like it has some interesting stuff in it!

Back to normal

Whew. That tiny terror is gone! Mom found a home for the little one-eyed siamese kitty, and I couldn't be happier! Even though I'm three times the size of that cat, he terrified me! Mom tried to keep us separated for the most part, but we live in a pretty small apartment, so we were forced to interact occassionaly. And that little guy took over the bed! I couldn't even sleep in my spot for THREE days! The nerve.

Mo's mom - Monida has done really well with other cats, and even a big Lab dog, but for some reason this tiny 5-pound kitty terrified her and she would run everytime he took a stop toward her. But now he has a good home where he will have two other kitty siblings and two children to play with. I'm so happy for him! And now Mo can go back to being an only cat and ruling the apartment.

Some advice?

I'm hoping some of my catster friends can help me out. Today I rescued a one-eyed siamese from the shelter, where he's been for the past month. I don't know why I feel in love with this guy, but I so want to find him a home. My plan is to foster him until I can find a great place for him.

However, he's so cute and I'm already worried about finding someone who will truely care for him. But I feel so guilty because I feel like I'm betraying Monida, who doesn't know why this other cat is suddenly here eating her food and sitting in her spots. We finally had a routine and now I'm worried everything with her will change.

Have any other kitty parents felt this way? Any advice?

Also, has anyone ever fostered kittens before? How do you deal with giving it away? I just know this is going to end in heartbreak for me.

Catching up

Oh my, I'm so behind on my diary. And so much has been going on.

I had to go to the vet last week to get my ears cleaned and you'll never believe what he said. He said I wasn't fluffy, I was fat! *gasp* I have to lose three pounds! Mom took away my bottomless bowl of crunchies and now I'm staarrrving!! Stupid vet.

He also sent mom home with solution to clean my ears out with at home. Ha! Like that will ever happen. There's no way I'll let her stick a wet cottonball in my ear! (Note from mom: If anyone has any tips on cleaning cats' ears, they would be greatly appreciated. For some reason, Mo's ears tend to get gunky pretty regularly.)

I also need to send out some long-overdue thank yous for presents.
