Back from the vet

Hi friends -

I'm feeling kinda blue today. :( It was bad enough that mom shoved me in the carrier and made me go to the vet for my yearly wellness exam. But then we found out I've gained some weight. Mom was so sure I had lost some since I jump and play more than ever before.

The vet said I was overweight and said I'm not allowed to have any more treats. :( And mom has to really watch how much food I'm getting every day. The vet also doesn't like that I'm getting Blue Buffalo. Now mom doesn't know if she should switch my food or not.

It's not a fun day when you're called fat.

I'm back!

Hi kitties! I'm back! I went to my grandparents' for Easter! I had quite the adventure. I'm not so much a fan of the nine-hour drive, but it's fun having a new house to explore. Then my uncle brought over his dumb, smelly dog and his new kitty. I finally got used to the kitty, but I hate that dog. Grrr.

But I got lots of treats and lots of people food since my grandparents can't resist me. My grandpa is my best buddy! I love him so much and he gives me toast with butter!

And guess what! The town had Tiki catfood! Mom can't get it anywhere around here so she bought me some! Oh my that is amazing stuff!!

Well, I'm pretty exhausted from the drive, so I'm gonna take a nap. I hope everyone is doing OK, especially those kitties down south - I'm purring for you all!!

Sorry I missed some special days. :( I'll try to catch up!

Just a question

So mom has a question for all you kitties out there. She was looking at pictures of the beautiful Kaci sitting in sun, and she was curious if there are any other kitties who don't like sitting in sunbeams?

I don't like to sit in the sun. In fact, I will go into my carrier to sleep just to avoid the sun! I like to curl up under the blankets where it's warm and nice and dark. Mom thinks I'm really weird.

I just wanted to let everyone know of this great group that the Pharaoh Loki and Chef Rooster have created. It's called Purr It Forward. It's a group to get the word out about kitties that are in need of new friends.

I think this is such a great idea. When I first started on Catster, I was kinda scared. I didn't ask too many people to be my friends, and I was kinda intimidated. But once I saw how amazingly nice everyone was (is) and once I got up the courage to make some new friends, I found out just what an amazing community this really is!

So please head over and make some new friends. I know they'll appreciate it! Even now I get super excited when I see that someone has requested to be my friend! :)

Lazy day

Mom can't believe I've been with her for two years. She says it feels like I just got here, but also that I've been here forever. All I know is I'm glad she took me out of that scary shelter cage and brought me to my forever home where I'm pampered and spoiled!
