My birthday is today!

I am so happy that today is my 5th birthday! My sisfurs, Hailey and Chloe have the same birthday! We are having a special birthday pawty to celebrate my birthday, Chloe, Hailey and also our sisfur in law, Jingle Bell's birthday! The pawty is going to be in the Purrz fur Palz group on Sunday November 2nd at 4:00pm catster time! Effuryone is invited!!! *smiles big*

I seem to be getting better!

Meow!

It has been a few days since I wrote in my diary about how I am feeling. I am doing better but am not 100% yet. I have taken all the yucky tasting medication in the tube....meowmy called this the ear wax in a horse wormer tube. Whatever! It tasted horrible and meowmy said it smelled like fish......I couldn't tell because I was busy spitting it out! MOL Anyway, I am glad that stuff is over. Now I am still taking the amoxicillan and my eye ointment. I try and run away from meowmy when I know it is time to take my medicine. MOL I have also picked up one of my sisfur Hailey's habits.....drooling and drooling all over meowmy. HA HA HA! Maybe that will teach her to not give us medicine...ya think? MOL Oh well, meowmy always seems to get it down me! I am good one she gets the pill in my mouth...I will swallow it. Not like Hailey...she holds it in her mouth and drools and sometimes ruins her pills. Silly sisfur!

Anyway, meowmy seems to think that I am getting better. My eyes are still bothering me a little and are still a little red but nothing like they were. I still have until Thursday until my medicine is all gone! YAY!!!! MOL I will be glad for that and just hope that I will be 100% by then. My sisfur, Hailey, is still not doing too good. She was diagnosed with the FHV-Feline Herpes Virus on the same day and had different symptoms. Now Hailey is not eating and meowmy is going to try and offer her canned food or even human baby food. Otherwise, Hailey will have to go back to the vet.....meowmy mentioned that if Hailey has to go that she may see if he wants to do a re-check on me. So please keep purraying and purring hard for us!!!

Wednesday update....I am still not feeling the greatest...

Meow!

I am taking my medicine okay. I actually forgot to mention that I have to take another medicine in a tube. EWWW...it is gross. Meowmy says it looks like ear wax in a horse wormer tube! MOL MOL I think it is called Lysine or something like that. My eyes are doing a little better. They still are hurting. Meowmy kept Hailey and I together but seperated us from the other kitties on Monday night. I really did not care. I was feeling purrty bad. I slept most of the day yesterday. Meowmy let Hailey and I out and I went and slept some more but this time in the sunny window.

This morning, I woke meowmy up and was playing with the bed sharks. MOL Bed sharks is what we call the toes under the covers. I pounced on her toes a few times then, I cuddled up with meowmy and went to sleep. That is a good sign that I am playing.

Meowmy is happy because she said that she can see a little bit of my purrty blue eyes today. I have had them open a tiny bit. So it is getting better!!!

I have a new furriend named Buddy, who has been checking in on me and helping us understand about the FHV..Feline Herpes Virus. I am so glad that he is helping us learn about this. He has it too. Thank you so much, Buddy! You don't know how much meowmy and me appreciate it!! We love you!!!

I'll keep you all updated on how I am doing. Thanks so much effuryone for the purrayers, extra purrz, love, rosettes, stars & pmails!! I will thank you all personally when I get to feeling better. It might be a little while though!!!

My visit to the doctor today....

Meow!

I just got back from the vet. BLAH! I was so much hoping that I didn't have to go there. I was worse this morning and was just laying around not feeling well. Meowmy was able to get Hailey and I into the vet this afternoon at 2:30. The doctor is real nice and checked me out. He put some yucky yellow stuff into my eyes and put a test strip on my eye. That is to check for ulcers on my eyes. I wouldn't hold still. My eyes are so red and swollen. Then he checked out my mouth and said that it looks like I have a herpes virus (FHV- Feline Herpes Virus) in my eyes. Hailey has had this before and so has my other littermate/ sisfur, Chloe. He said that my momma kitty most likely passed it onto us when we were kittens. This does not surprize meowmy at all since the living conditions and the place we came from was so terrible and sooooo dirty.

I got some eye medicine that meowmy has to put in my eyes several times a day and he also put me on Amoxicillan pills. The pills are half the strength that was prescribed so meowmy will have to give me a pill twice a day instead of once. Oh boy...that will be fun for her! MOL MOL Another kitty for meowmy to give a pill too. My doctor put some eye medicine in my eyes and gave me a pill before we left. I DID NOT like that at all. Well, I am going to go take a nap and hopefully my eyes will feel better. If I am not doing better in a few days then I will have to go back to the doctor. Please keep Hailey and I in your thoughts and purrayers!!!

My sisfur and I are sick!!!

MEOW!!!

I am not a happy kitty right now. My sisfur-littermate (Hailey) and I have been hanging out together a lot. That is a little unusual since Hailey is usually wanting to be by herself. Anyway, we both are sick now. Hailey is sounding very nasal, her glands in her neck are swollen and she is not being very active or furriendly...even to meowmy. Me? Well, meowmy thinks that I have eye infections since my eyes are all swollen, red and goopy. My eyes were glued shut earlier today. Meowmy took a warm wash cloth to my eyes to help get them open. I fought her because my eyes are sore. I know she was just trying to help me but I couldn't help it. I have been extremely loveable too. I mean more so than I normally am. I also sound nasal. Meowmy is going to try and get both of us into the vet tomorrow. I don't like going to the vet but I know he will make me feel better. I don't like feeling this way. I usually am very active playing with my ball with the bell in it but not the past few days. My eyes were the worst this afternoon. I am just not feeling well.

I will post another message in my diary and let effuryone know how we're doing tomorrow. I actually really, really am hoping that we are both better tomorrow so we DON'T have to go to the vet. Definately not my favorite place!! MOL I am going to go get some rest so hopefully I will get better soon!!! Please keep us in your purrayers and purr hard for us to get better!

My sisfur, Hailey....

Meoooowww...
I am a nervous wreck! My sisfur, Hailey, had a seizure early this morning. She has epilepsy and has been seizure free for almost 10 months! Whenever my sisfur has her seizures, I freak out. It not only scares me but I am just a nervous wreck. I cry when I see her like that and I try to help her. Believe it or not! I really love my sisfur and I am just a basket case when this happens. I know something terribly is wrong. She is my littermate/ real sisfur and I love her so!

I purraying hard for you, my dear sisfur, Hailey. I love you with all my heart and I'll help you bite that mean old seizure monster in the butt next time he shows up!!!!

I am doing better!

Meow! I am doing better. My meowmy had me and my sister, Chloe, declawed last Thursday. My sister and I was scratching on everything and we were costing our humans a lot of money to fix what we ruined. We even had scratching posts etc but we wouldn't use them. It was more fun not to use those things! MOL MOL! MEOW MEOW MEOW! I came home on friday and you would never believe that anything happened to me. I was walking around like normal and not even limping. I was even jumping up on things. I was doing real good. But, nothing bothers me. My humans have never even heard me hiss once. I did real good through this. I even ended up getting my shots on top of the declawing. I am still doing real good! MEOW MEOW MEOW!
