That Wasn't Me!

Maurice is home for the week. So far we have been getting along pretty good, only a few little hissings. The humans even thought they caught me playing with him. That wasn't me! It was an imposter Jezebel who snuck into the house. I mean, do they really think that I, an almost 18-year dignified Queen Cat would be caught playing with that one year old goofy kitten?? Apparently they do. And I'm just gonna let you in on a little secret, he really isn't that bad. But I have to keep up appearances!

Mardi Gras!

Happy Mardi Gras everycat! I hope you have a purrtastic day - be sure to snag some of that yummy food if your humans have some.

I was just meowing for some more Fancy Feast and my mom said "look, there's some good kitty food already there. Good kitty food for the good kitty." I stared at here - I just wanted to know who this good kitty is and WHY my humans were feeding her. MOL MOL! But then my mom said, "oh that's right, you're the bad kitty." That's right - BAD to the bone! MOL MOL! And she just told me she was proud of me for pooping in my box and to keep up the good work. Whatever. She is so weird. I was in there peeing, and well, I decided to poop in there too. Sometimes the littlest things make these people happy. So maybe that's why I've been a good kitty.

My oldest girl did a painting of a cat inspired by ME. It is a stylized pop art kind of cat. It isn't as beautiful as yours truly, but nothing in this world is. I'm looking forward to seeing her this week when she comes home. She can give me more pets and extra Fancy Feast. Here's the painting.

Some humans are easily pleased . . .

Sometimes I really wonder about the humans around here. Like today when I did my poopin' in the litter box. She was so happy. Like I had presented her with a lifetime of unlimited Fancy Feast or something. Like it was nothing I hadn't done thousands of times before. Ok, maybe lately I've been preferring outside the box, but really. It was all kind of amusing. I guess occasionally being a good cat is fun too, it sure confuses the people! Although I heard something about how I still wasn't burying it and boy, did it stink. Well, what did she expect? I don't see non-stop Fancy Feast delivery around here yet! Hee hee!!!

Revenge

I am a cat who knows what to do. See, one of my human servants left me last week to go see one of the younger human girl servants in college. This was not acceptable. I mean I love my human man servant too, but he is not home enough to feed me Fancy Feast whenever I meow for it. And since I am a royal Queen, I need to have my Fancy Feast right when I want it! So I made the living room have a special smell of Eau de Jezebel. I didn't spray this time, I just peed a few places and the human man couldn't figure out where to clean since his sniffer is not so good.

I know some will say making the living room smell like a litter box wouldn't be the best way to make the humans want to stay home, but I think I got my message across. In between all the cleaning up today, I did get plenty of Fancy Feast!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you had a wonderful day filled with pets and scritches, napping in sunspots, playing with toys, and lots of Fancy Feast! I had a pretty good day. Things could always be a little better, I did get closed out of the bathroom today. I waited right outside the door and meowed the whole time - hee hee! And I really didn't get enough Fancy Feast, but I think I did pretty good. Purrs, headbonks, and sandpaper kitty kisses to you!

Demanding?

Me??? Demanding momma? I don't think so. I think I am just a poor innocent STARVING kitty who just wants a little bit of Fancy Feast. I know I had some five minutes ago, but really, what else are you doing. Whatever it is, it doesn't look that important to me. I know something much more important, and it involves following me to the kitchen to get me some Fancy Feast. I know my meows are loud, I have worked for almost 18 years perfecting them into a perfect "NOW!" Do you understand what that means?? "NOW!" means feed me Fancy Feast now. Do you understand yet?

Humans! Really, besides opposable thumbs, pets, and scritches I'm not to sure what they're good for!

The Lunatic Dog and Snow

OMC! We have been getting so much snow. We got seven or eight inches of that nasty cold stuff. I am so glad I don't have to go inside and can just lie around on my ottoman and eat Fancy Feast and go pee behind on the couch and do my poops outside the box. Age does have its privileges! But that crazy dog went out in that cold stuff and brought it back in with her. She was out there running in it! I knew something was wrong with her, this is just more proof. She had snowballs attached to her even. And she had to get them rinsed off then blow dried. I am glad she didn't get any of that nasty icy stuff on me. No one has been able to go anywhere since the roads are all icy. I hope there's no Fancy Feast shortages!

This is My Ottoman!

I don't know what I need to do to convince everyone around here that this is my ottoman. I mean, I know there's one thing I COULD do, but I know that would get me in big trouble and plus I wouldn't want to sleep there anymore. I just need to find a way to say, this is my place, not a place for your feet, unless they want to move to the side. And I don't mind sharing my ottoman with the dog, she is nice and warm. But when she sleeps her feet get to twitching when she is dreaming and I end up getting kicked and ooched over to the side. And that is not ok. I am Queen Jezebel and this is my ottoman, I hope everyone understands that!

Ice and snow!

It is so cold here! It is 13 degrees here right now but it feels like it's -2! It hardly ever gets that cold here in Dallas - brrrr! I am so glad I'm inside and that I have a nice warm place to be. Even if I don't get out to decapitate birds or anything. Oh well, my Fancy Feast is yummy and meowing for it is less work than killing birdies.

I've been being fairly good lately. I think it is very funny that I now get praised for going in my litterbox. I have got these humans trained. I'm now a "good cat" for doing what I was supposed to. Hee hee!! I think I'm gonna go back to sleeping on my warm fleece blanket. Purrs for y'all!

Sunspots Return!

We have been having some very nice weather here in Texas - in the seventies and sunny. Which means my sunspots are back and that makes me a very happy kitty. Maybe not happy enough to not go pee behind the couch, but still pretty happy. And those humans cannot prove I was the one who did that poopie, I'm definitely blaming the dog there. I mean, she was the one who did it. Life has been pretty good lately, lots of naps, pets, and Fancy Feast. Hope all my kitty pals are doing well!
