Frusfurating!

There have been men working in our backyard for a couple of weeks now. They are making a swimming pool. I have to 'splain this to you because today just as Mam started to take her shower, a piece of equipment got too close to the house 'n broke off the main water valve to the house. Lucky she wasn't all soapy or anything because there is no water in this house. Da took all the broken pieces to the real hardware store in town where he can talk to someone who knows something about plumbing. He's going to be gone for a while 'cuz we live kinda in the sticks 'n nothing is very close to us. Mam says it figures, 'cuz we have company coming this afternoon to spend the weekend.

Sorry it has been so long since my last post

Hello Furbuddies,
Remember me 'n Blossom? We are the two kitties with a mam that is too busy to help us wif our diaries 'n our comments 'n our thank yous 'n sending pressies. We are reeely embarassed about it 'n hope you will put up wif us.

The main part of this problem is that it is bee-u-ti-ful here in Florida 'n we are all lovin' it. Mam 'n Da are still unpacking. They can actually see over the tops of the boxes in the garage now 'n can even walk around out there. We are not allowed to go in the garage. I guess it is ok, 'cuz we have lot's of room in the house 'n on the lanai. It has been cool enough lately that we can open up the house and me 'n Blossom go running 'n running in circles in 'n out of the house onto the lanai. The other day I was chasing Blossie 'n she ran under the sofa. I tried to go after her, but I am too big 'n I hit my head. Mam said she could hear the thump across the room.

There are so many good places to take a nap that I don't have a favorite. Blossie doesn't have a favorite place any more either. She likes the room called the Roman shower. Sometimes when the water is coming out of the wall she sits just inside 'n looks at it. Other times, when Mam is in there, she sits on a counter 'n watches. But she never gets wet!

Greetings from the Spa

Hello all fursters! Blossom 'n I are chillaxin' here at The Cat Cottage in Punta Gorda, FL, while Mam 'n Da are doing the same on Sanibel Island. First of all, I want to thank all the wunnerful furs who have sent us special love gifts this past week. Mam feels badly that she cannot keep up with all of it right now, but I want you-all to know that me 'n Blossom are thrilled to see how many of you are thinking of us. We love every single one of you.

It's really nice here at The Cat Cottage, considering they do not have a lanai. They do have a place to hang out that has a big window that looks out onto the mall sidewalk so we can watch critters like snails 'n lizards 'n people going by. We have adjoining three-floor condos 'n we are allowed in the recreation room three times a day where Miss Lori or one of the girls play wif us. Uh-oh! Here comes Miss Lori.....I think my time is up.

Florida Update

Mam says this has to be really short, because she has lots to do right now. We finally got our new house in Florida this week. We have been waiting 5 months! Some of our stuff has been in boxes for nearly a year, so we are all excited about getting them opened. But first, there are things that we need/want to do in the house. You know, cleaning, replacing carpet wif tile, installing new appliances, putting up curtains.....oh my whiskers!! So much to do!! To complicate matters, Mam 'n Da always go to Sanibel Island the first week in September wif some very special friends 'n they cannot let the new house interfere. So not only are Mam 'n Da busy wif the new house, Mam is busy getting ready for the week on Sanibel. I am pretty disgusted because that means Blossom 'n I are going to a spa. It is one we have never been to before, but I know they do not have a lanai 'n Blossie 'n I loves that lanai! I don't think we are going to be happy campers.

Watchin' out for the bobbie-cats

We appreciate that some of you have expressed concerns about Blossom being on the lanai while bobbie-cats were strolling around. I want to assure that whenever Blossom and/or me are on the lanai, both Mam 'n Da watch us closely. Before the bobbie-cat issue, they were watching to make sure we didn't try to climb the screens (Blossom has only once, I never have). When they go away, we are always locked in the house until they get back home. The minute they come in the door, ol' Blossom is running to the slider to go out. Mam says Blossie is rude 'n ungrateful 'cuz she doesn't even say "Hey" when they come home 'n she doesn't say please or thank you when she should. *sigh* She can be such a brat.

A day with Wilson J Scooter

Da was trying to paint the office room in the place we are staying 'til we can move in our new house. I was bored so I thought I would help him. He got very impatient wif me 'n asked Wilson J to come over 'n get me out of the house. mol!!

Well, WJ was at the front door in about 20 whisker wiggles. (I smile thinking about it.) He had his Harley, so off we went to Boca Grande beach where we waded in the ocean 'n watched the dolphins in the water 'n flocks of skimmers 'n pelicans trying to catch fish. 'N we looked for shells too. Then we went over to the Waterside Grille where we lunched on fresh shrimp 'n blue crabs. nom, nom. nom.

After lunch I showed him how to get to our new house so that when we move he will know where we are. By the time he brought me back home, Da had finished painting. He was so glad WJ had come over 'n took me out. (He kinda likes WJ, but it's still a little hard for him to see his princess riding on the back of a Harley.)

It was a very nice day.

NASCAT Racing

Whee! Vroom! Thumppity, thumpity! Me 'n Blossom have devised a new way to wake Mam 'n Da up for our breakfast. hee hee. We run from one end of the house to the other, up on their big bed, across bofe of 'em, off the bed 'n back to the other end. It works too....they aktally wake up laughing!! But then, we are soooo cute, why shouldn't they?

Woo hoo! Here comes Blossom....gotta catch her!

Frustrations and Apologies

Hey there furs,
I am, at this very moment very frustrated 'n angry. Do you wanna know why? Mam's laptop has finally come out of the dungeon and she is ready for us to catch up on Catster. But!! We cannot open almost every single diary on the Community page. We were able to send 1 message 'n 1 pressie, but none of the others opened. We just want to let you know we wanted to read about what is going on, but there seems to be a problem. Maybe it is a high-volume time, so we will try again later.

Oooops! Where has the time gone!?!?

Well furs, I have now managed to make even Mam embarrassed about taking so long to help me wif my diary! The main problem is that we do not have wifi here 'n Mam has to sit in the corner of a dark room filled wif boxes when she is online. At least that's what she is using for an excuse.

Life here in Florida isn't too bad. Mam 'n Da have been interviewing vets. The closest cats-only vet is in Sarasota, about 30 miles north. They really like him but do not like his boarding facilities. They found a nice kitty-only boarding place in Punta Gorda, about 30 miles in the other direction.

Ma'n Blossom, we are pretty content. There has been only one out of the litter box incident. That was when Mam interrupted my nap on her lap throw when she took it from me. Of course I had to get even for 2 reasons: 1) she woke me up 2) she took the throw. When is she ever going to learn not to mess with me, THE PRINCESS!!!

It looks like we are going to close on our new house within the next couple of weeks. Mam 'n Da are getting pretty excited about it. Me 'n Blossom, well, it remains to be seen how we are going to deal wif our litter boxes being moved around.....again. At least there will be a big screened-in lanai for us.

It's a bizzy time....

I personally want to apologize for not being on Catster very much. Mam says she has been so bizzy that some things just have to wait. So I wait. And I wait. And I wait for her to help me with my diary. This morning I put my paws down and told her that it wasn't nice to ignore all our Catster pals like we have been doing. And remember it hasn't been MY fault!

I have some thoughts about Mam's bizzi-ness that I think I should share wif you: first of all, I do not think she is really all that bizzy. She 'n Da are looking after Aunt Susie's house while she and Uncle Jim are in Montana. Translation: they are hangin' out at the pool. I know they are not shoppin' for stuff for the new house 'cuz Mam is supersticious about buying for a house we do not own yet. I hear them talkin' to friends on the phone....meet for breakfast, meet for lunch, meet for supper, go for a boat ride. They are jus' hangin'!

'N Blossom....she doesn't care at all about any of this as long as she can be on the lanai. Silly girl. The other day someone came 'n mowed the lawn. Did she care? Noooooo, not that little redhead. She just rolled in it till she was covered in black dust and left black paw prints on Mam's white shirt. *sigh* I wish Mam had given her a tubby right then 'n there, but she didn't 'n Blossie got herself cleaned up before Mam was brave enough to even think about putting little Catzilla under water.

Well, Mam says my time is up, so I haf to say 'bye for now.....
