A note from my mama

From my mama:

I am just so sad and overwhelmed....I can't stop crying....I have been told I am terrible, I'm cruel, heartless, I should not own any pets, etc. - all because I returned Serena. I didn't want to return her, but she just wasn't getting any better and NOBODY offered to take me to the vet. My family is nearby (brother) but they're not able or willing to help with getting me to teh vet. That was part of why I took her back, I couldn't afford $40/trip to the vet and I’d already spent over $100 in fare as it is.

Please feel free to vent or rant at me, I know I deserve it because I am such a terrible person. But remember this – I DO CARE ABOUT ANIMALS but my funds only stretch so far. If you can help me with transportation then please offer!!! I’ve already spent thousands on vet bills over the last 2 years alone. I know that’s nothing to some but it’s a lot to me.

I might leave Catster, I haven’t decided yet. I may do so in the next few days.

Serena is gone

Mama had to return Serena to the shelter. She was NOT getting better, instead maybe worse....she wouldn't eat, kept drooling, was sneezing all the time, and still had diarrhea. She just couldn't take the stress and neither could Serena.

Mama says all the shelter kitties she wanted to adopt appeared to have some URIs. She checked on the one she was thinking of adopting and yep, she too has a URI. Mama says she will nefur adopt from a shelter again.

my sisfur is here

Well folks my sisfur arrived this morning, but I haven't really gotten close to her yet. It's too soon to tell, but we seem to be getting along. I'm not that interested in the baffroom now. We have looked at each ofur but that's about it.

Mama says Serena is a booful black kitty just like my late sisfur Greta.

oh no nervous time again

Mama's SO nervous....she wants to adopt this kitty (the one I told you about in my last entry) so much...but she's scared fur her....y'see mama's been "practicing" having Serena home and she can't decide if she should be kept in the baffroom or bedroom. We only have a 1 bedroom apartment and the baffroom is small....and I consider the bedroom MINE....oh what should we do? Serena's a calm kitty, but how will she be when she gets home? We have to isolate her fur her own safety. But I am a curious boy and just yowl and yowl at the door of any room I can't go in.

And now my brofur Solomon is upset at the idea that there's anofur kitty in the house (mama kept calling Serena's name) so now she's wondering how to deal with our feelings if (which is becoming more and more of a huge IF) she adopts anofur. Of course you humans know she still loves us, how does she relay that to us?

Hi efuryone!

Well I may be getting anofur sisfur really soon!

Mama's been missing Greta terribly lately and she decided that since this weekend would've been Greta's 13th birthday, if the Lord wills she will adopt. Well she purrayed and the Lord said He's picked out a kitty fur her and to go to the local shelter website and look.

Then she found this booful black kitty named Feisty:

and if she gets along with ofur kitties, she'll be our new sisfur Serena!
When mama saw this kitty she heard the Lord say, "that's your cat."
You can tell by her bio she is just purrfect....loves to be held, loves to talk....oh the thought of having a sisfur sounds exciting except mama doesn't know how I'll react. Solomon loves all kitties like mama so he won't be a problem. I might tho.

We talked to the owner of Diddy and they are keeping him fur now, which is a GOOD THING :)

Mama said she believes that it wouldn't be fair to Diddy to bring him here, cuz I would probably hurt him.

anofur potential new kitty?

Well efuryone, here we are again asking fur prayer. This time it's a variation of mama's purrayer.

A friend of mama's has a booful kitty named "Diddy". He's a neutered longhair/Siamese mix, with gorgeous markings....he is described as a laid back kitty who gets along with ofur cats. (He's actually only been around 1 other, a female.) We don't know if he has been around ofur males tho. We've been told Diddy will defend himself if attacked, which is good cuz you know I'm a bossy cat. MOL

Mama is not sure if this is God's will, and she would hate to see this kitty put up fur adoption if she could help him....but maybe God is instead going to bring a male...? Maybe? Mama has trouble with discernment so maybe she misunderstood the Lord the 1st time?

If God wants us to have this kitty He needs to show us soon cuz Diddy only has about 1 day to decide....mama would also hate fur me to hurt him....purrayers and advice needed!

I can't believe mama is doing this...she asked me tonight "are you a good boy" and I said "yeah" (well as close to yeah as I can get) and now she said she's gonna post it here! MA.......

I don't have anything new to report really. Mama says she is ready anytime fur the Lord to bring her anofur kitty. She loves me & Solomon, but just misses having a little girl.

Last night we got tuna juice! Mmmmmm!!! We don't eat the tuna humans do, mama gave us some once and we didn't eat it...but we wuv the juice.
Then Solomon was bugging mama fur treats, so much so that he was trying to rip the box open! MOL Mama gave us some but then locked it up so we couldn't touch it. Darn.

update 7/16/12

Hi efuryone!

Not much new to report except that mama of course misses Greta.

Me and Solomon are doing our best to comfurt mama. It seems to be working fur the most part.
Yesterday, I came ofur to mama and mama thought I could use a hug. So she picked me up and held me. Well I haven't really been a big fan of being held, but I thought I'd see how it felt.

It felt REALLY GOOD. I purred and purred and purred. Mama probably held me and snuggled me fur about 2 or 3 minutes. I nefur knew how good being held and snuggled felt til then. Then a little later I came ofur and she knew I wanted anofur one. So she held and snuggled me again. Oh I really loved that. Now just so you know, I'm bigger than Greta was so it's a little more difficult to hug and snuggle me, but mama did so anyway. I really loved that.

I should also say that I still don't like being picked up and held except when *I* want it, unlike Greta, who loved it no matter when. But at least it made mama miss Greta just a little less.

Of course mama still wants anofur little girl to love. She's not even sure God will bring anofur kitty tho she thinks He will. She doesn't want to pin her hopes on it. She's still sad cuz she couldn't adopt that ofur kitty (Monkee). She said to us she had a dream about adopting a little 9 week old tortie girl who was deaf, but in the dream she couldn't adopt her cuz she had 4 cats. MOL Mama sure has some crazy dreams.

Keep purring and purraying fur God to reveal His will about anofur girl kitty. We'll keep comfurting and enjoying mama in the meantime (and even after anofur kitty arrives, if one does).
