well well well!

Well it's about time you heard from me again huh? MOL

I've been busy being sick, MOL....but I'm doing a lot better. I ran out the door Wednesday night. Managed to run downstairs and make myself known, rubbing against efurything....then mama came and scooped me up back home. Darn!

Mama has been giving me vitamin C to help with my URI and now we are all getting L-Lysine in our food to boost our immune system. Mama doesn't give me apple cider vinegar EXCEPT when I'm sick and when I get it, it's either put on my front paws or in the scruff of my neck. I spit it out when she tries to give me a dropperful (1 ml).

Mama isn't sure she likes my new vet either, this lady is saying that FIV kitties shouldn't live with non-FIV kitties, that mama is compromising Solomon's health. Well here's a question fur anyone who can answer....I didn't have FIV when I came to live here, I was vaccinated against it....I have since bitten Solomon and drawn the blood (not recently tank God) so do I have it now? We disagree COMPLETELY with this vet about FIV & non-FIV living togefur. My late sisfur was non-FIV and lived with us fur 4 years before she went to heaven...she had a bad URI when she was a kitten and since they say it stays with you fur life, wasn't she "compromising" Solomon's health by living here too? Mama thinks not but who knows. We know URIs are contagious but since we both got sick around the same time are we going to give it back and forth to each ofur?

I am doing better! I'm eating well, I'm playful and I'm still sneezing but not as much.

Solomon went back to the vet today cuz he was sneezing like crazy and coughing. They put him on Clavamox because his lymph nodes were swollen too. He'll take that fur 10 days and also the Famotidine 5 mg. til Friday.

His tummy is better, not inflammed.

Well mama gave us some yummy tuna in juice tonight to help us with our illnesses. Solly ate the juice mostly (which is good fur his hydration) and I ate some tuna and juice too. I'm improving, my sneezing has gone way down. I've sneezed about 4 times today. Better than yesterday when I sneezed about 12 times.

Solly really needs your purrs since he is vomiting mucus or bile or something. At least he IS eating and not vomiting up his food. So that is good. But still the fact that he throws up something is a concern so we need to talk to our vet.

We also want to clarify something. We've been asked why mama is in a rush to adopt. Let me say two words: SHE'S NOT. Mama had a kitten offered to her and she wanted to get info about URIs and us, and how contagious our illnesses are, BEFUR ADOPTING. Since we are sick she is NOT - repeat - ***NOT*** adopting now. So could you PLEASE....PLEASE...not accuse mama of being in a rush or send negative messages? PLEASE? Mama's been thru a lot (not that nobody else hasn't we know) these last few days and it's been hard. In fact she could lose Solomon so these are furry tough times. Please think about this.

Please purr and purray fur us both, and also fur mama. She'd hate to lose either of us.

1) Tell me your funny Christmas story.
I don't really have any funny stories, altho I do like playing with the ornaments on mama's miniature (2 ft.) tree. I like the lights twinkling too. On Christmas Day I love to burrow in the wrapping paper, that's so much fun!

2) Where's your favorite hiding place when playing hide and go seek?
MOL! under the coffee table in the living room so I can strike your feet!

3) What did you dream of being as a young kit?
boss ofur all the kitties

4) What's your favorite hobby?
playing with the laser toy. I can never catch it!!

5) What’s your one "bad habit" that you love and your Mom hates?
oh I love chewing on cords that go with mama's stereo. Those and headphone cords. Mmmmm yummy.

6) If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Gamma's house, she has lots of room to run around!


7) What is your guilty pleasure?
Chicken, fresh cooked chicken!

Not pick on Solomon.

10) Zach's family is going to have have coed ships this year for Talk Like a Pirate Day, so which ship do you want to be on Zach, or Zoe’s. Gris will be having a small ship (more like a dingy) for all our kits to be on.

we are slowly improving

We're doing better. The new vet is ok but mama isn't sure she knows that much. She said I have a virus & wouldn't give me antibiotics and is claiming that it takes up to one full year fur anything contaminated with the virus to be safe again. (HUH???)
So mama got me some vitamin C tablets which she cuts in 2, and I get one of those every day...also some apple cider vinegar (YUCK) which I hate but it does help me. I've got my appetite back and even tho I'm still sneezing I am eating (I wouldn't befur).

Mama just heard Solly sneeze so now he'll get the same stuff.
Solly gets Pepcid every 12 hours (5 mg. - a 10 mg. pill cut in 2) and will now geet Vitamin C too.

I am a sick boy...I'm not eating and I've already sneezed at least 7 times in the past 24 hours. I'm going to the vet this morning.

My brofur Solomon is sick too, he keeps vomiting efurything he eats. He still eats tho.

purray about this newest situation

Some potential good news - remember how God said He'd bring mama the kitty he wanted her to have? Well a furiend at her job has offered mama a 3 month old black kitten with a bit of white on her. She and her siblings were abandoned when they were younger and the furiend is caring fur them. They all need homes.

We don't know if this will work out. We also don't know if she needs shots yet. FIRST I and Solly must go to the vet tomorrow to insure we're healthy. If we are, the furiend will bring her to us next week. (This is important since The Lord told mama, "I will bring you the one I want you to have.") If not, it might not happen. We aren't going to pin our hopes on this until we have confirmation this is GOD's will. Be purraying about this potentially exciting news!

no new kitty again

Well now me and my brofur are sick, so no new kitty til we are better.

I've been sneezing since last night, and my brofur was sneezing Monday or so. Now he's been vomiting (but still eating like a champ) and has been doing a swallowing or gagging thing like he's gonna throw up (his body retches sometimes too) but then swallows it back down & it happens all ofur again.

So tomorrow we are seeing a NEW vet - only cuz this one is closer and cheaper (via taxi) to get to. Purray fur us!

an update on Serena and questions fur efuryone

Hi all,

We contacted the shelter to see how Serena (aka Twixie) is doing and they said she is in the "sick room" being treated fur illness.

Now we have a question - ok 3....
1) mama's not sure if she should take back Serena once she's healthy or not? What think ye?
2) mama found 2 ofur possible kitties to take in but she's not sure if the time is right. Should she wait? One of the kitties is from a home with other animals so we're thinking she might adapt ok...thoughts?
3) Can you purray fur mama to do what the LORD wants since she is a Christian?
