Hi efuryone,
We have some news.
Mama saw Susie in person, and she is a thin and small kitty. When she came in the house her nipples were flattened. But tonight Susie went out and her breasts were enlarged & nipples red. We think SHE HAS BEEN NURSING because her nipples look VERY red and stretched out as if someone had been suckling on them. (!!!)
So, we know Susie has had kittens but we still have not seen them. Mama did see Susie crawl under Gamma's house tonight so we think they may be under there. Her (human) brofur looked under the house and said he didn't see or hear anything. Susie crawled under the front of the house so the human might not have looked there.
A couple days befur that, Gamma's "friends" who help Gamma with housework and some ofur things (like mowing) came by to check on Gamma and gave her an attitude. The wife was so mad at Mama she was shaking and un-friended herself from mama's Facebook page. (The wife said her anger towards mama had been "building and building" and made it obvious she has been holding a grudge against mama fur at least one year, NEFUR telling mama what she did to make her so angry and ignoring mama's apologies & requests fur forgiveness.) The wife proceeded to vent to Gamma about SOME of the terrible things Mama said or did to her and her hubby. He said he doesn't think she was efur pregnant. WELL HE IS AND WAS WRONG!
The hubby told Mama rudely and firmly, "I'm telling you for the last time there are NO kittens on this property." When the wife came ofur to Gamma's house shaking in anger the hubby was with her, and he was rude to Gamma too. The hubby then told Gamma the same thing he told Mama, that there are no kittens on the property. WE BEG TO DIFFER!
There are 104 acres to Gamma's property. Are they trying to say they combed all 104 acres looking fur them, wading thru weeds and climbing the hills and valleys? Also, did they look under the house????????? (Remember, these "furiends" do not know much about cats but refuse to believe us when we say Susie is nursing or lactating. Mama has done research on this and consulted with breeders and vets!)
These furiends of Gammas have become furry rude towards her lately. We believe they do not sincerely care about cats unless they receive adequate funds for anything they do fur her. Gamma's "furiends" are acting more and more like manipulative con artists. They hate Mama, they are afuraid of Gamma's brofur Dave (in TX who is in charge of funds and such), and they probably do not like Gamma's oldest brofur Tom either, because we are becoming intolerant of their manipulation and demands. But they claim to love Gamma, while talking down to her.
Mama also got an email from Second Chance saying that they tried to Gamma and "she acted like she didn't want to talk." They said cuz it was kitten season they were full and their fosters & agency had no room fur any more. So we don't know what we will do now.
This is all in God's hands. So while you purray for Susie and her babies, that we KNOW are alive and well somewhere, could you also purray that if it be God's will, He brings someone new into her life to help her with housework and ofur thing? These furiends are only around if Gamma is paying them and have been saying rude things to Gamma. They don't show much respect to her or family, so we are asking the Lord to bring some other folks along to help her with things. Remember Gamma is 81 years old & still recuperating from her broken back so we need purrs.
Thank you fur reading my LONG entry.

Hi efuryone,
Mama and me are frustrated with Gamma again.
Susie went out again this morning (probably to check on and feed her babies) and came back this afternoon all lovey dovey, Gamma said. Gamma says she wants to be part of the family and the ofur kitties are not letting her near Gamma.
Now there is talk that the kittens are in the garage, since there are holes and openings underneath. So when mama goes to visit Gamma, she's going to look fur the kittens.
Gamma's also confused cuz she said today Susie's nipples didn't look like they were sticking out as much as the night befur. Gamma's now saying that since there are probably kittens around, she might not keep Susie. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
We know Susie and her babies should be kept togefur as long as possible, but since she's been feeding her and giving her a shelter fur this long, why not keep her once the babies are old enuf to be adopted? That is, if they're not feral...could they be feral??
GAMMA PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR MIND!
and PLEASE PURRAY FUR SUSIE, GAMMA AND MAMA. MAMA'S GOING NUTS! MOL

Early this morning Gamma said she saw Susie, and got to examine her belly. Her nipples were sticking right out she said, and looked as tho someone (!!!) had been at them.
I dunno about yall, but mama and me think this means SUSIE HAS KITTENS SOMEWHERE!
Gamma is convinced they're not in her house....so we suggested having someone come and look under the house. But Gamma won't do that, cuz she says it's too dark and there's too many places they can hide.
Mama's not able to go under the house either but she's hoping she can do something. She's hoping she can see if there's an opening where Susie crawls under. She is also not too physically able to move that much on acct. of knee & back problems, but she'll try.
Keep purring fur those kittens, they're probably alive somewhere!

Gamma called mama tonight with good news. Gamma was getting ready to go to a dr. appointment and Susie came running up to the front door wanting to come in! So Gamma let her in and she said she ran into her (Gamma's) bedroom and started rolling around the floor. Then of course Gamma had to go to the doctor.
When Gamma came back, she didn't find Susie but at least she knows now that Susie is safe and inside. The windows are kept shut.
We are so FURRY GLAD that Susie did the right thing and came home. Gamma said Susie's going to live there and be her cat now. This means Gamma has 5 cats....her furiend is going to pay fur Susie's vet care, since he's a cat lover too.
Welcome home Susie, you are a blessed kitty to have people who love you and will see to it that you get taken care of. (And spayed ASAP!)

I have bad news fur efuryone. Susie apparently jumped out the kitchen window of Gamma's home, while Gamma was at the nursing home during rehab. Her furiends came to do some cleaning and they brought their children. They opened the kitchen window about an inch. Susie is scared of efuryone, and we think the kids scared her to the point that she jumped thru the screen of the kitchen window. Gamma found a BIG HOLE in the screen. :(
Gamma also said there is NO SIGN OF ANY KITTENS.
I'm sorry I have to tell yall this after all the trouble so many went to with their purrs and support and paw mail, but you did what you could. Gamma said she's going to leave out some food fur Susie just in case she comes back. Since Gamma lives in the country and there are coyotes we don't know IF Susie will be back....all we can do is purray.
Thank you again fur all you have done fur Susie and Gamma. Mama's going to see if she can see her when she goes down next Thursday.

Gamma came home Friday and she was purrty tired from her long day (she went out to lunch with her boyfuriend) that she went to bed early. She has not seen Susie yet nor any kittens. We think that because Susie is still a kitten herself (probably about 5 or 6 months) that maybe she gave birth outside and her kittens died...or nursed them and then left them alone? Gamma said she has not seen or heard ANYTHING. Nobody else has either. Not anywhere. Her furiends mowed the yard and didn't see or hear anything!
We live 5 hours from Gamma, so we can't go down often and cuz we have no car, we rely on ofurs to get us there. Often mama can only go alone, we have to stay home. We are going down there fur a few days this June 30th, so mama will try and keep efuryone posted! Gamma's got a really really bad internet connection, it's a dialup one cuz she's out in the mountains and the only alternative is expensive satellite ISP. BUT mama got a cell phone with web access so maybe she can keep in touch that way. Mama said she'll do what she can!
I also want to send bunches of smoochies to my booful girl Sable, who has been in my thoughts this whole time! I wuv u!

Well we don't know now where or IF there are kittens. Gamma's in a nursing home fur rehab til June 19th, and the people who house-sit only come in once efury 3 days. :(
They say they don't see or hear anything, but we told them that by now if there are kittens you should be seeing them since they'd be 4 weeks old and walking.
They see Susie sometimes and the ofur kitties, but they (sitters) don't stay in the house fur long, just long enuf to feed, water & clean litterboxes.
Mama & me & my sibs are going to visit Gamma fur a few days fur July 4th weekend so we'll know then if not sooner.

Hi all,
We have a short but possibly sad update on Susie & her kittens. Gamma said that she smelled something "dead" in her home, in either the living room, kitchen, or dining room. There are no walls separating them (only a small divider) so it is like one wide open space.
Gamma thinks the smell might be coming from under her couch. We can't ask her because she was admitted to the hospital with renal failure. Poor gamma! :( And on top of this, our Gampa, who we nefur met (Gampa is mama's dad & in a nursing home) is also sick with a fever & sore throat, among ofur things. Gamma saw him Monday and said he looked horrible.
Since gamma smelled this "dead" smell her furiends are going ofur to her home and checking efurything thoroughly.
We don't know if this means the kittens died, or if just one died, or what, but we will keep efuryone posted as best as we can.
PLEASE KEEP PURRING AND PURRAYING

Hi efuryone,
Well I wish I could tell you that Gamma has taken Susie & her kittens to the rescue place but I would be telling you a lie.
Gamma has not looked fur the kittens and she is convinced that there aren't any. :( Her son, who was just at her home visiting, thinks the same thing. BUT he's not a cat lover or knows much about them. Neither of them have looked thoroughly thru the house, just under a few things here and there. :(
We've tried to tell Gamma how important it is to find these kittens and inform the rescue place so they can get them taken care of, socialized, and ready to go. We told gamma that she wouldn't necessarily hear the kittens (she doesn't hear very well anyway) or see them until at least 2 weeks from now. But Gamma won't listen. She says she's tired all the time, in a lot of pain from her back, and ofur the last week or so she's felt nauseous all the time, with no appetite and so on. She barely eats anything anymore. :( She nefur feels up to calling her furiends and telling them to come and look. We've told her that at least 2 of them need to be looking TOGEFUR thru the whole house. When we tell her how important it is she just says "alright" but doesn't do anything.
Today gamma went to see her doctor (primary) today and they are talking of putting her in the hospital and then on to a nursing home fur 3 weeks or more! Gamma won't let mama come down cuz a) mama has no car of her own and b) gamma wants to wait until she "needs [her] worse". (sigh) Gamma said her furiends can come and feed the cats and take care of the kittens. Only problem is this furiend won't be coming in efury day, just efury other day, or efury 3 days. NOT FAIR!!
Mama did email the rescue place and tell them the situation...maybe something can be done by them. We are so scared.
We really need purrs in this matter. I wanted to give you better news but mama and I can only do so much. If gamma won't listen to us, all we can do is purray.
Daniel & mama
