Gamma SAW two of the kittens!

We have some news....today Gamma saw 2 of the kittens that Susie had! One was a medium haired gray kitten, the other was a calico looking similar to her.

Susie had just been let outside to care fur her babies and Gamma noticed Susie was pacing around the porch by the front door. Then Gamma looked and saw 2 kittens standing by the steps to the porch. They got scared when they saw her so they went back under the house.

We don't know if that's all the kittens Susie had or not, but we hope that's all of them. Gamma said they were pretty big! She doesn't know how old.

It would be SO GRRRREAT if we could find homes fur them, and fur Susie. Gamma keeps going back and forth between keeping Susie and not keeping her, we wish she'd just make up her mind. Mama said if she could adopt one, she'd adopt one of the calicos (either Susie or the kitten).

Oh and guess what, Gamma's saying she thinks she'll just take them ofur to that rescue place that said they were full with a waiting list. We told her, you can't just drop them off! That'd be cruel and unfair to the kitties! Gee whiz doesn't Gamma have ANY sense?

If you know of anyone in upper North Central PA (Potter County - Bingham Township) who's looking for an adorable kitten to take home, or a nice calico kitty probably around 7 or 8 months old, let us know!

this heat!!!

Today has been such a hot, hot day....it was 100 at one point here...my day as a Diary Pick was marred by the humid weather.
:( However, I did not let that get the best of me. I'm still so tankful that I am DDP again. It means a lot to me and mama!

Mama wrote a poem fur Susie, and I helped her out with it. Tonight she & I added some things, took some things out, and revised the diary entry. So if you read the poem, read it again and see if you like it.

We WUV Susie....we really do....we WANT her to see a vet....but mama can only do so much. Gamma is being stubborn and won't ask her furiends to help, cuz they got upset and told her Susie has no kittens and she wasn't even pregnant, which are both UNTRUE. (sigh) People suggested mama rent a car, but mama doesn't have the money to do that....like so many ofurs, money is tight fur us....it is by the grace of God that we get thru some weeks. So, at this point, purrayer is all we have left. Our Lord Jesus will either help or will not. I believe He will, because He cares about us.

Some might say not to bofur God with purrayers fur pets, or our concerns and our pets' needs, but we can speak from experience....He DOES want to know. They are His creations too. We don't know fur sure, but we hope there are kitties in heaven. It'd be strange to think of heaven without all kinds of cats, dogs, hamsters, & ofur pets up there but He knows better than we do and He is so wise that we cannot even comprehend.

Well we have gone on enough, mama is going to TRY and sleep now but since she has no A/C in the bedroom might not be able to. TTYL I hope.

DDP again! :) and update on Susie

I am furry purroud to report I'm a DDP again! I'm so tankful to Catster fur this honor. And to all of my diary readers too. Without you I would not be the same. MOL

OK I got an update on Susie. NOW Gamma is saying Susie looks good, healthy an' all. Gamma says that the way Susie was laying the ofur night, she looked skinny but Susie's been staying in the cool house (good idea Susie, temps are in the 90s outside) and now that Gamma's got a good look at her, she is healthy and filled out.

Well that is grrrreat, but Susie still should see a vet....Gamma won't take her yet, she wants to wait til she's done nursing. But since she hasn't brought out her kittens, how do we know when she's done?

Gamma's furiend (a different one) was gonna put food down under the porch fur the babies, but it's too hot and Susie crawls under the house still, so it's probably nice and cool under there fur the kittens. Once this heatwave ends we'll try putting food down there fur the kitts.

Back to me. MOL I've been coming up to mama's puter demanding attention. She sure spends a lot of time on that thing. But I guess since she transcribes my diary, it's ok.

In case you were wondering what happened to the comments under my photos, they're still there...fur some reason when mama's Plus subscription ran out, the comments don't appear on the page unless you go to my photo album. Mama said she just does not have the money fur a subscription, money is tight enuf now.

OK I need to go bug mama fur treats! TTYL

a poem fur Susie

This is a poem fur Susie....OR any ofur stray girl kitties who find themselves in the same predicament as Susie. Hope you like.

NOBODY CARES

I was once a kitten at play,
Then I found myself living as a stray.
I was dropped from my home far away
To a field, left alone to find my own way.

One day I meet someone out there,
Someone whose love I hope they will share.
They feed me and pet me and simply just stare,
But they won't adopt me, cuz they just do not care.

I'm getting bigger and now have a tummy,
I'm a pregnant girl, looking for food so yummy.
I need a warm home instead of this cold harsh air
But nobody will take me, nobody cares.

At last comes the day when I have my litter,
They're all so precious and I feel a little better.
I really need a home my family can share,
But nobody notices, nobody cares.

I'm trying my best to care for my family,
It takes all I've got just to keep my kitts healthy.
There's a nice young couple who sees me out here!
But...they ignore me, because they don't care.

Finally I'm led into a nice home,
At last I think I won't be alone.
But they don't understand, they won't help my kitts,
They shrug their shoulders, say they don't give a whit.

I show them the spot where my babies lay,
They say “not my problem” and then walk away.
So I have to go back outside to care
for my kittens alone, cuz nobody cares.

Now I am weak and my life is so hard,
I eat and I eat but it doesn't go far.
I'm sick and I desperately need vet care,
But nobody helps cuz nobody cares.

Then I hear someone calling a shelter,
I think at last things will finally be better.
I hear the phone hang up and get the bad news,
There's no room for me and my family of mews.

Don't know if I can live much longer out here,
I really need help to survive thru the year.
I pray that someone will want me and care,
But my prayers go unanswered and nobody cares.


Won't you please help me someone, if you could spare
Just a little time or compassion or care?
I need your help, so please don't just stare
and walk away...please, somebody, care!

update on Susie....things are getting worse!

We have anofur update on Susie. There is still no sign of the kittens altho we don't know if they're under the house or not, and Gamma REFUSES to ask her furiends to help. Gamma just said that Susie looks terrible, she's nothing but skin and bones....so we are imploring, begging, PLEADING Gamma to call the vet. We have told her and told her and told her to do this befur and she just said "Ok" but nefur did it. Now things don't look too good and we are really hoping this time Gamma will LISTEN and CALL TEH VET. AND...find someone who will get those kittens out! All she says is she doesn't know what to do, nobody cares, etc.

Well gamma saw Susie again, and Susie came in the house but no sign of the kittens. We suggested to Gamma that she get a humane trap, bait it with tuna, and place it by where Susie's been seen crawling under the house. Gamma however is hemming and hawing saying "I don't know....I don't think it'll work....they could get out..." etc. (SIGH)

Mama keeps telling Gamma to just try it, and cuz Gamma's old, tired and in pain she just says "OK" but never does it. We have told her fur days to do it and she just brushes it off.

There is NOBODY willing to crawl under the front of the house to look. Gamma just says they could be anywhere under the house. Her "furiends" refuse to believe her when she says Susie is nursing and has babies under there. And because her furiends hate and ignore us, they won't listen to us either. MY MAMA IS NOT STUPID! Neither is Gamma, altho we just wish she would take our advice!

PLEASE....PURRAY FUR GAMMA TO USE COMMON SENSE....AND BAIT & TRAP THE KITTENS SO THEY CAN BE BROUGHT INSIDE.....PLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAASSEEEE....

Mama gave me lots of extra treats and wuvin today to tank me too.

No news again on Susie today, but when I hear anything I'll share.

Mama and I can't believe it!

I'm DDP again fur the 2nd day! Must be those folks at Catster really like my diary, MOL...

Thank you to efuryone who's posted comments, and sent me rosettes and gifts on these special days. I WUV U ALL!

I been getting lots of lovin and treats on account of my diary honors. I also got a scolding from mama cuz I hissed at her 3 times when she went to feed me. I like to hiss, what can I say? I hiss just cuz I feel like hissing! I told her, "Ma, I'm a rebel and you don't tell me what to do!!!" But she said, "When you get a job that pays some of your bills, then you can order me around. But until then, I'm the boss." HISSSSSSS! Stupid humans. MOL I love 'em but I'll nefur understand 'em.

Gamma hasn't seen Susie since Thursday, but the fact that she's looking fur a place to bring in the kittens is good. We just hope she'll do it soon. We reminded her to get or borrow a humane trap fur the babies. Since Susie comes in the house on her own already, she probably wouldn't need one. (Or would she?) Once they're in the house, Gamma said we could pick out names. She is thinking of fostering them until someone wants them or can take them...and if something should happen to one of her older babies, one of these little ones might fill in the gap. We'll keep yall posted.

I'm a Diary Pick again!!!

Hi and TGIF efuryone!

What a great Friday it is, to be a Daily Diary Pick....I am SO happy.....thank you to efuryone at Catster who chose me....thank you to my booful SABLE, my furefur love, fur your love and support too...and most importantly tank you furry much to my MAMA who transcribes my thoughts and meows into diary entries and also along with me tries to keep yall updated on stray kitties and such.

We have some news on Susie....Gamma said yesterday (Thursday) she came in looking fur a place to bring her kittens. Mama suggested the master bedroom since nobody uses it most of the time, it's big, there's lots of room to run, and since me & my sibs were just there, there's a litterbox and food & water bowls. (We had 2 litterboxes, the ofur one was in the den where Greta stayed.) Mama also asked how to get the kittens out and people suggested humane traps and tuna - all GRRRREAT suggestions - so unless Susie now brings out her babies, we are trying to get Gamma to do that. Gamma said she's just going to let Susie bring them out, or wait fur the kittens to come out from under the house. Is that a good idea? :/ (IMO, I'm not sure.)

BTW we also have news on 2 of Gamma's older cats: One of her cats, Becca, who is 12, has a big lump on her tail right by her back. She is also wetting places. The other female, Jackie, who's also 12, is wetting all ofur the place too. Mama and her human brofur found several wet and stinky spots where they went. Jackie wet the bedding in the guest room while we there too. :( Gamma's tried to catch the girls in order to bring them to the vet, but they are really small - even smaller than my sis Greta - so it's easy fur them to hide and since Gamma can't walk or move very well, she can't look in all the little nooks and crannies we kitties can hide in. The girls are way ofurdue on shots and such, and may need really expensive stuff. (Oh I furgot to add, Jackie barely eats much and sometimes throws up too.) We are not sure if these kitties are really ill or not, so keep purrs up fur them.

We HEARD (and Hear) kittens!

There are kittens under this house and we have proof! (Nothing physical yet, but we're trying.)

This afternoon Mama went in the guest bathroom of Gamma's house and heard mewing. She checked all along the closets, sinks, cabinets...nothing. It sounded like it was coming from under the house.

So Mama has now gone under the house looking fur kittens. She then heard a SECOND mew, different from the first one. Mama thinks are at least 2 kittens under there, and that Susie has hidden them in some insulation under the house. It's furry difficult fur Mama to manuever under there but she has the location pinpointed approximately as to where they are. Ohhhhh how mama wishes she could get at them and bring them inside!!!
Mama DID open a few panels of siding so that the kittens could come out if they wanted to. (Please....)

WE NEED HELP AND PURRS! PURR FUR THE 2 KITTENS PLUS ANY OTHERS UNDER THERE, IF ANY. AND PURR FUR SUSIE TOO. PLEASE PURR THAT HUMANS COME TO HELP, SINCE GAMMA'S FURIENDS WON'T DO IT AND THE SHELTERS ARE TOO BUSY AND FULL.
