This little girl was a feral kitten..Took us a while to catch her as she was terrified of humans. As usual we double-searched for Mom and any siblings and had no luck. Daisy kept showing up, a nose, a tail, a streak in the night, and finally a cautious presence at feeding time. We caught her with a blanket, tuna and all! She shifted through a number of cages, and finally got into the house in a dog kennel. She gradually learned to accept the rest of the family who were thrilled to have another kitten. As she calmed down, off to the vet's for shots and spaying. That set us back a while! Not a happy camper! However, her sweet disposition gradually returned, and with lots of love and handling she eventually smoothed into an affectionate, albeit still on the shy side, Rat Pack member. She never lost her love for roaming, and continued to explore the field and creek, interacting with her buddys there and her family at home. Despite her feral past, she remained a gentle and sweet dispositioned girl. One cold and frozen February morning I went to go to work and found her curled in a frozen ball on the lawn. She was three years old when she took her trip to the Rainbow Bridge. Sadly, way too young. She is greatly missed. This is a special Tail of Devotion
