The MRS. is leaving this afternoon to go to California. She is going with her friend and her two daughters. The oldest gal is going to be going to college in September at University of San Diego. They are going to look at the dorms and junk like that.
I don't have to go to college cause I'm four. I don't think you go to college until you're an Olde Furt.
The DD is going to be in charge. He has a big long list of stuff he has to do. The MRS. wanted to make sure he didn't forget anything like Gleek's medicine or treats for me!
Yesterday Leo, Charlie, and Lucy's Mommy came to visit me. She brought lots of fun gifts for the MRS. and the DD in memory of Violet. A bunch of CCLs on Facebook donated a gob of money and they bought the most beautiful windchimes with an inscribed heart that has mushy stuff on it. It is blowing in the wind in our backyard right now!
And they got us a picture of Violet. It is funky and colorful. You can see it here! Violet's name is in the purple pawprint in the bottom corner. It made Mawmee cry.
Then Edgar, Emily Felicity, Salem, and Lucy's Mommy put together a beautiful book with lots of nice, mushy messages to my MRS. and DD. She cried last night when she read them. She cries a lot over mushy stuff.
I don't cry much cause I'm four. But I still suck on the MRS. left arm. I'm allowed to do that forever. She said.
Thanks to all those cat moms who were so nice to my MRS. and DD!
Don't forget there is a huge party at Tate's house while he is on staycation! See ya there!

I'm going to be four tomorrow. I'm thinking it is going to be pawsome to be four. Today is the first day starting my second year in Arizona. You become a full-fledged cowboy in your second year . . . . especially when you're four.
Guess what happened on my last night of being three? I was in the DD's study chillaxin at the base of the coat tree. The MRS. thought maybe I was looking for a scorpion, so she called the DD to bring the special flashlight to look for scorpions.
We have a special flashlight that is purple and if the flashlight sees a scorpion, the scorpion glows all cool and stuff. I think about Violet when I see that purple flashlight.
Well, there was no scorpion, so after everybody left the room, I went under the table in the DD's study. It has a tablecloth on it, so that makes a good hidey spot.
When the DD was ready to go to bed, he closed the door in the study so that no cats would get in there in the middle of the night and knock stuff off his desk.
Too late! I was already in there which meant I got locked in the room all night long! And I had his desk to check out - of course, I had to knock a few pens on the floor! Dang, I was crying but nobody heard me. I think Gleek and I played footsie under the door, but he wouldn't go get the MRS. or the DD for me.
This morning, the DD opened the door and I ran out like a bullet to go to the litterbox! I held my pee wee all night long! When you're three, you have a good bladder. I think my bladder will get even stronger tomorrow when I'm four.
The MRS. said from now on we have to do a headcount each night to make sure we know where everycat is in the house. I think I'll yell out four since I'm going to be four!

I'm not talking tires here, but a new pal for you to meet! Firestone just joined Catster yesterday, and it was his birthday too!
You'll have to read his bio to see why he was named after the tires!
Welcome to Catster, Firestone. I hope you meet lots of new pals and have fun here!

Hey, looky there - I'm a diary pick today! Some hot chick named Juliette is Diary of the Day. I figured she might want to be friends with me, but she is only accepting friend invites from cats she knows. Whatever!
Okay, guess what I like to do?
While the MRS. is fixing our food, we all gather around and stand in our special spot. We each get a placemat because some cats around here are messy. It seems like it takes the MRS. forever to get the food in the bowls.
I've decided that I should help hurry along the process. I weave around her legs and then I go in for the big fleshy knee. I like to rub my toofies on her kneecap, and sometimes I even nibble at her knees!
She says it tickles, but if that is what it takes to get the job moving along and my food bowl on the placemat faster, then I'll do it!

I really didn't want to tell you cats, but the MRS. insisted that I add my latest nickname to my Catster list. It's not really a new nickname, but it isn't something a boy wants to go around and brag about.
Babycakes? What kind of stupid nickname is that? I'm not a baby any more! I have big neck floof and hair between my toes which is clearly a sign of a grown up mancat!
And what baby would jump from the desk and ride on his sister's back as she runs from the bedroom like a little screaming girl?
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about - Babycakes doesn't fit, does it?
I just wanted to let you cats know that we took the music off our pages. I'm sure you'll miss jammin' to the tunes, but the stupid site we were using now makes you go to that site in order to hear the music!
We were using Mixpod, but so many of the songs wouldn't play because of copyright rules. Then we switched to Playlist.com, and now it is a mess. So, no music for now. You'll just have to pretend there is music.
Oh yeah, God save the Queen! I'm not sure what she needs to be saved from, but I hope he saves her in time! I wonder if she is afraid of a mouse in the castle? She needs to get a cat!
I'll bet if the Queen had a cat, she wouldn't call him Babycakes . . . . .

Fancy Feast fell in my neck floof this morning!
Has that ever happened to you?

You read that right . . . . not a quart of cats, but a court of cats!
Our Arizona house is in a court with three other houses. The house next to us used to have two doggies, but they got old and went to the Rainbow Bridge. Now a young German Shepherd puppy lives there. He is learning different languages. His MRS. and DD teach him commands in some language I don't know because I only speak English and a poco Espanol!
The house across from us only has a MRS. and DD living there during the winter. My DD calls them Cheeseheads because they live in Wisconsin in the summer. They just left this past week to go to Cheeseville.
Then there is the other house next to us. There used to only be an older MRS. and DD living there. They are very nice. We call them the Coca Cola neighbors because the man used to work for my DD's favorite drink!
A few months ago, the Coca Cola neighbors' daughter moved back home. We don't know much about her situation except she used to live in Colorado and lost her job. She is pretty depressed right now because she is trying to figure out her next move. My MRS. said she is probably depressed because she had to move back with her parents, and that sure wouldn't be fun.
Guess what she brought with her from Colorado? Two doggies, a horse, and cats! We knew about the doggies because she walks them, and my MRS. and DD have talked to her when she was out walking the doggies. She told them she used to have miniature horses, but had to sell them, but she brought a horse with her that she boards at some nearby stable.
The MRS. has seen a white cat in the windowsill, but she didn't know how many cats she had in the house.
I think I told you the story that when the MRS. and the DD first bought the house, they went next door to meet the neighbors. The neighborhood association only allows 4 animals per house, but we figure that is mainly a dog rule because you know how stupid and noisy dogs can be! So, when the neighbor lady asked the MRS. how many cats they had, she answered, four. At the time we hadn't moved to Arizona, so we still had Vivien (which made 6 cats). Then the DD said to the neighbor lady, it just feels like more than 4. The MRS. couldn't look at the DD because she thought she would crack up laughing if she did!
So, today, the MRS. and the DD were outside, and the man next door was talking to them. He is getting ready to go fishing up north. The MRS. was talking about his daughter's dogs and cats, and asked him how many cats she has. He said,
I think there are six in there!
There are 11 cats in our court! MOL! The MRS. thinks that if something came up and they had to go out of town, this gal might be able to be our non-Catster cat sitter!
I don't think we'll ever get to meet those cats, but if the MRS. meets them, I'll tell you all about it!

Yesterday was a test of bravery.
First we had some guy here washing our windows. He washed them from the outside first, and we all sat around looking at him with his magic washer wand.
Then he came inside to wash the windows. Gleek slept the entire time on the sofa. Violet was sleeping on a chair. Samoa and Inky were walking around unafraid. I was hiding. But then later I decided he was a cool dude because he owns a cat. So, I came out of hiding and sniffed his stuff he had in the hallway.
We told him that we'll be putting kitty noseprints back on the window after he leaves!
Then the MRS. and the DD went to dinner for their 26th wedding anniversary. Some friends joined them, and then they came back to our house. They all went outside to chillax and have dessert.
While they were talking, they heard a buzzing noise which sounded strange cause who hears bees buzzing at night when it is dark? They didn't think anything about the noise until later.
The friends left and then about 5 minutes later the DD went to put the recycling can at the street. He looked over in the driveway and saw a big animal. At first he thought it was a coyote, but then he realized it was much bigger and it had a short tail and ears with hair tufts like mine!
It was a Bobcat!
The Bobcat took one look at my DD, and then he peed on a bush right by our driveway . . . . the Bobcat peed on the bush, not my DD. I think my DD was about ready to pee in his pants!
All the MRS. friends on Facebook are teasing that the Bobcat needs a name and that he will be moving into the laundry room! MOL!
So, now, the MRS. thinks the buzzing noise they heard might have been Mr. Bob hissing. Maybe the neighbors had their dog out in the backyard, and Mr. Bob was hissing at the dog. Or maybe Mr. Bob was hissing at the MRS., DD, and their friends!
Wowza, don't we have the coolest stuff happen at out house?

Dang, I thought I was Cat of the Day today, but when I looked closer, I realized it was Xander!
I wonder if Xander licks bananas or sucks on his MRS. arm? Remember the picture of me checking on our cat tent? Well, look at this one of Xander! I think we are brothers separated at birth!
Somehow he ended up in Wisconsin!
He even has an older sister just like me. I wonder if he likes her as much as I like Samoa?
Be sure to stop by and ask him to be pals. Tell him Newman sent you!

Did you all have a fun Kentucky Derby/Cinco de Mayo yesterday? None of us picked the right horse, but Samoa said we should have known that I'll Have Another would win.
The horse was named that because his owner's wife would ask the owner if he wanted another cookie, and he would say, I'll have another, and since Samoa is named for a cookie, she should have picked that horse.
Oh well, did you cats also see that ginormous moon last night? It was a super moon, alright, and the MRS. said that super moon has turned me into a bad boy!
I got everyone up around 5:20 this morning. It was easy to do - I just go over to any window and start messing with the blinds. The MRS. pops out of bed and gets me away from the blinds, and then we start all over again!
When the DD woke up, I got locked out of the bedroom, but that is okay because I have tactics that work for that closed door too. I rattle it, and then I hit the little springy door stop thingy that is attached to the door. She finally got up at 6:15 to get me my breakfast!
Oh yeah, I'm also featured over at Speechless Sunday today for any of you girls that wanna check out my handsomeness! Click on the picture to blow it up so you can see my baby blues!
Today starts Be Kind to Animals Week. I decided to give Violet a bath cause he stinks, so I've already been kind. What are you going to do to be kind to animals?
If you have time, check out all the cool cat stuff over at the MRS. auction. She is trying to reach her goal for the Boob Walk this September. Here is the Boob Auction Blog!
Have a fun day!
