No More Pay-Pal

I just learned that Pay-Pal is no longer an option for zealies, that is very disappointing, it was the only way we ever purchased them. Our auto renew is also set up with Pay-Pal, so I guess we are out of luck there too, or maybe it is Catster that will be out of luck. Either way it does not sound like a good business move to me, we used Pay-Pal to keep our account information secret and we would like to keep it that way.

Tattletail links!

The annoying tattletail comment links are back, I was hoping they would never be back. I will NEVER comment on a pal's diary or photo again unless some privacy settings are given to us. It is no business of anyone's where I have commented, and none of my business if my pals comment somewhere. This is NOT facebook!!!!!! And even they have purrsonal privacy settings!!!!!

Diary Comment Feature

I do not like the new diary comment feature at all, no not one bit! When I used to leave a comment, which I will no longer be doing, it was for that friend-not my whole list of friends to see. I see absolutely no benefit in this feature at all. Some of my friends do not even know each other, so what business is it of theirs if I leave a message on another friends diary? Or what business of mine if my pal leaves a message on one of their pals diaries that I do not know? It is all confusing and seems to be a copycat of facebook where privacy is known to be non-existent. So do not be offended if you don't get a comment from me or my family in your diary, we will paw-mail you instead, unless they decide to make those public too.

When you invite the "outside world" in, expect some filth on the "carpet".

The Cat's Meow

The Cat's Meow has improved greatly over the last few months, more uplifting stories, more happy endings and less of the sadness and abuse cases. We all know these sad stories are a part of reality but I for one am glad they are off of this site, some of them were not in my opinion child friendly.
And for those of you who are offended by off-color remarks, I suggest you do not check out "What's Popular on Digg right now" , evidently Catster has no control over the comments there and some are quite offensive and mean. It most definitely does not meet the Catster guidelines, I wish they would remove it completely!

Please Help the Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary

Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary has entered the Pepsi refresh project contest and they desperately need votes. They are trying to raise funds to build an additional shelter for FIV and Feline Leukemia cats to live. Cats testing positive for these diseases have almost no hope in the shelters of being adopted. You can help by voting, if you have a facebook acct you can actually vote 3 times a day, once with your e-mail address, again with your facebook acct and a third time by sending a text message.

The Main Street Project just got through "redesigning" our main street here a few months ago to "attract newcomers". They put in extra stop signs so it slows people down trying to "navigate" through town, taking out a lane each direction and adding parking. It is not working, no one is "parking" and most of the "established" town folk are "avoiding the whole mess" and taking other routes. Sometimes things are better just left "small town and quaint"!

YUCK and DOUBLE YUCK and I just thought the carpet was bad! That blue definitely could be improved with a few hairballs!

It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy. ~George Horace Lorimer
