My brofur Blackie needs lots of purrs. He has malignant cancer. There are a few nodules under his ear and some on the inside, it is inoperable. Right now he does not seem to be in pain and is still eating, but the vet feels like it will spread quickly

Wow, what a great surprise I woke up to this morning! I am on Samoa's Dreamboat List! I have been Cat of the Day, Cat of the Week and even had a few daily diary picks, but all pales in comparison to be chosen a dreamboat! Thank you Samoa for choosing me! Oh yeah and I am definitely getting chicken tonight! YIPPEE! Congrats also to Harrison and Francis who also made the list!

Well as most of you know I have been battling several ailments for close to two years now and my weight at my worst was just barely over seven pounds. Two weeks ago I went for my routine lab work, was not fun for me or the vet and his two assistants, anyway the results were the best I have had since I got sick! Still taking meds and watching my progress very closely.
Today I went in for my B12 shot. Meowmy weighed me on the scales in the lobby-9 pounds! Yippee I am gaining weight! Then I got into the exam room and that's when it happened....the word none of us food loving kitties want to hear...FAT. Fat? I have not heard that word in a long time. The vet says I am not overweight now but meowmy needs to watch and make sure I do not get fat. So not much more weight gain for me. Do they make diet chicken?
Oh yeah and to add to the insult the vet rubbed my ears! No one touches my ears, everyone knows I hate it, even the vet. I told him about too, and if he had gotten me out of the carrier to give me that shot I would have also given him a good swift kick!
I got chicken when I got home and it looked like my normal portion so I am beginning to calm down!
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Thank you all for all of the purrs you have sent me over the last two years, they are working.

My sisfur Tess lost her battle tonight. She had a good day relaxing in the outdoor pen that she loved so much, but when night came she began having trouble breathing. Meowmy had to take her to the vet for the last time. I am going to miss her, even though she was always slapping me off of the food so she could eat first. We had hoped she would have more time with us.
So many of you prayed for her and we appreciate all of the love and purrs we have received from our friends here. I don't know how we could make it without all of you. Fly free baby sis, we love you.

We went back to the vet today. Tess has shown some small improvement as far as how she is feeling. She is still not very active and it is evident that she is not her old self, but she is some better. She does have lymphoma and being leukemia positive it will most likely spread faster, but we are taking one day at a time now, all we can do. The vet does not feel like she is in any pain right now, just tired. She did go out into the outdoor pen today by herself, she was exhausted by the time she got there, but enjoyed the day outside. We sure appreciate all of the purrs and prayers, I truly think they have helped. Thank you all.

Today is my sisfur Tess's birthday, she is seven. She needs purrs badly. She has been very sick for a week now, last week's lab test were not conclusive, but the vet thinks she has cancer. He spotted one tumor like object near her liver last week, today there were three. She is not improving. She is still eating and drinking but very inactive. We are going to try some prednisone and continue the antibiotics until Friday, if she is still continuing to decline meowmy will be tearfully helping her cross to the bridge. Please send purrs and prayers for Tess.

My super cool pal Tony has tagged me! Took me a couple of days to get to it, but here goes!
"Who are you really?"
1) Tell me your funny Christmas story.
We don't have Christmas decorations out or a tree since we are so destructive! The last time we did we tore up the presents and kept the tree in a horizonal position most of the time!
2) Where's your favorite hiding place when playing hide and go seek?
I hide behind the towel in hanging in the bathroom, meowmy always finds me though so maybe I should try to find a new spot!
3) What did you dream of being as a young kit?
To be king of the house!
4) What's your favorite hobby? Anything goes.
I like to pee on electrical things, appliances, tvs, etc....
5) Whats your one "bad habit" that you love and your Mom hates?
6) If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
Kentucky Fried Chicken
7) What is your guilty pleasure? Food, skirts and suits or cars? What?
Chicken is my favorite thing, also like my stroller.
8) What is your favorite make believe monster? And yes girls, unicorns and fairies are included. Post a pic of this mysterious beast.
Are there any worse monsters than my sisfur Marie? My goodness if there is I hope I never meet them!
9) What is the one dreaded thing you have to do at home? Babysitting, taking baths, entertaining guests....what is your dread?
10) I’m not so sure if Zach and Zoe are going to have coed ships this year or not, but in any case, which ship would you want to be on: Zach’s, or Zoe’s?
Ships? You mean like on water....and with femfurs? You will find me under the bed!

Well I was back at the vet yesterday and all went pretty well. I have gained back the weight I had lost-well all but a tenth of a pound, so no labs for now. They did kinda spoof me though because they came in the room with a towel and I have been burritoed before! Usually just for a B12 they leave me in the carrier, believe me that is best for everyone involved and I have a top load carrier so it is easier. The vet decided since I was back on the gaining side he would just pop the top and give me a quick shot and let me be on my way, I think he is afraid of me!
I noticed the huge birthday prezzie is free now, don't know for how long, maybe just for today, so everyone who wants to give out a free prezzie rush over to the gift shop! Let's all eat cake!
Thanks everyone for all of the purrs and crossed paws, you are the best! Love to you all!

I had to go to the vet today for my B12 shot and my weigh-in. I have been feeling pretty well, with only some minor allergy problems, but I have lost four tenths of a pound in just 19 days. The vet is concerned, my last blood test showed me to be borderline anemic and meowmy is afraid my IBD may be getting worse. Especially since I have been eating good.
As for the good news meowmy has orders from the vet to feed me as much boiled chicken breast as I will eat along with my regular canned food. I will be going back in two weeks to be re-weighed, (sooner if meowmy gets paranoid) if there is no improvement we will do another round of blood test.
Keep your paws crossed for me please.

Here is a message from Xena Princess Warrior DG#23, she tried to put these comments in my diary but the fleas here prevented it! So I am posting it for everyone, thank you Xena and everyone for the comments!
We tired to comment on your previous diary but got the error 4 so we wanted to leave you our comments here for both.
You are so right Norman and we agree with every word you said! we are here to stay we love all of our friends, we are here to help others when they need it and to let them know we love them all...we have felt the love and support....
Now let's all move on, we can't change the past but we sure can make today and the future better....hopefully our friends that have left will return...we will go & spread the love to our friends and make new freinds making them feel welcomed.
Remember we all make our own choices and we each can make this site better...we all just have to move on...
Way to go Norman.....high paws to you
We have been doing just that reaching out to our friends, leaving comments on their pictures, diaries and going to some of our groups to check in....it is hard at times for Mom because this is her busy time of the year with taking care of her clients pets....mostly kitties now hooray for Mom...but we do come, we want to be here for all of our friends, send them love and support....we are not going anywhere...
Life is too short to dwell on what we can't change (fleas) but we can change what we do here, be positive and make new friends....love each other and be kind...give support when needed...and have fun....this is our site and we make it what we want it...thanks again Norman!
