Well so far no one knows why I've been peeing blood. So far my bacterial culture shows now growth. I got ultrasounded yesterday and my results showed "moderately hyperechoic echotexture" and "enlarged liver" and for my bladder no calculi polyps masses noted normal wall thickness moderate amount of dependent debris within bladder possbily blood - with a summary of liver is hyperechoic and moderately enlarged no other abnormalities were seen.

The liver finding isn't surprising considering my disease. They did take some blood to check coagulation factors. It looks like it could be cystitis (not sure we are spelling that right). that is whatever you diagnose when nothing else is positive MOL!!!

small update

My vet called momma yesterday and said that all they saw in the urinanalysis was red blood cells. No crystals, no bacteria, and no abnormal cells. We are waiting on the culture results. I am still peeing blood and momma is now worried 'cause I keep going all the time she doesn't know if I am blocked or just peeing in such small amounts. She will call my internal medicine doctor again today. He suggested we maybe do an ultrasound. It's not a good week for momma to be so busy at work :(

I'm back

Momma found me peeing blood this morning and I am finally back from the vet. The x-rays did not show any stones, so we are waiting results of my various urinalysis/cultures. They sent me home with clavamox, so I get to take more medicine than I do already. Momma says I'm a good boy with my medicines.

Thank you so much Hazel Lucy, Finney, and Mikey for the power of the paw and little Minka for the shrimpy. It means so much to me and to momma to have such wonderful friends purrring for me!

Ouchie!!

Well, my nosie has been all stuffied and snuffied and sneezy for months and months. A few weeks ago (close to a month now) it started to get worse. Momma finally asked the vet to try an antibiotic because she thought maybe it was developing an infection (as opposed to a virus) and after 7 days momma thought maybe just maybe I was getting a little better because my eyes weren't tearing nearly as much. She told my doctor that I seemed to at least be dryer and did he want to extend the meds?? So I am on my 2nd week of amoxocillin and the last few days momma is thinking I am dryer but still not breathing out of my nosey good. She is worried that my nosey stuff is drying up or something. Not to get into details but momma wiped my nosey this morning, and I wasn't happy with her. She tells me she wishes I could blow my nosey whatever that means!!!

momma talked to my doctor

My doctor called momma - gasp- in the morning!! before she went in to work!!! He was returning momma's call that she returned LOL!!! Anyway, he's happy with my cyclosporine level where it is at, so the upper 25% was not a concern. He wants momma to think about us lowering my prednisone dose again. The problem is that they raised my prednisone dose and the cyclosporine almost coincidentally and without a blood test inbetween.

My doctor called my momma.. silly momma, her batteries on her cell phone were dead so momma has to wait to talk to him. but he left a message saying my cyclosporine levels are in a good range, at the upper 25% of the acceptable range. momma is worried even though it's good! how do you like that!! she'll never stop!

Good Mews!!!! My doctor called momma and told her my bloodtest came back beautiful - we are still waiting on the cyclosporine test results but my liver and kidney values were all normal!!!

No more needles hopefully for at least a few months hopefully!!!
