Daily Diary Pick!!

Mewwwy Mew!

When momma woke up this morning, she got an e-mail that I was a daily diary pick! I am so honored. My wonderful friend Mikey who is also a 'muffin was right next to me too as a diary pick! Congrats Mikey!! He is an awesome muffin, along with all of his family.

nosey etc

Momma thinks my nosey is slowly healing, and the yogurt she's been giving me has been helping. Plus, yum, I love yogurt! I hope my doctor will let me keep having a little bit. Momma never gives me any treats anymore.

Another update

Meomy finally got to talk to my doctor again. My ALP is down to 40 from 46 (normal range is 0-62). My ALT is down to 75 from 241 (normal high is 100). The doctor wants me to come back for a bloodtest in 2-3 weeks, and we will be monitoring my nosey, and maybe changing the antibiotic I'm on depending on what my 'normal' nice doctor lady says I was on the last time I had a nose issue. Plus I might go see her. She's nice but momma's really trying my patience making me go out to these vets all the time! My next set of blood tests will include a CBC too, and after that maybe another check on the cyclosporine level to make sure I am not getting toxic amounts. The doctor said that he is not very worried about it, because my level is was way under that level (like at least 30x less), but we will want to measure it after having doubled the dosage.

Mewwwy Mew, I've got some good mews to share. My doctor called momma while she was in a meeting with her boss, so she was able to talk to him just long enough to find out my ALT is back in the normal range, but wasn't able to talk about my nosey yet! Momma had to ask the doctor to call back. Mewwwy mew, why do these calls always come at crazy times??

waiting for doctor call, again

Me and momma are waiting for my doctor to call her so that we can find out how my ALT value is doing. Also I went to the vet yesterday to get my nose checked out again because it is sore. The doctor said we are just going to watch for now but that there is a very small possibility it could be cancer because sometimes discoloration in nose tissue happens (more in dogs) associated with a cancer farther up the nosey. However since this sort of thing happened before to my nosey and it healed, and momma thinks that my nosey has been irritated (and she didn't help by knocking the scab off a little while ago) - momma thinks it's a long shot.

Also, my insides don't like the antibiotics I'm on. I wish my nosey would heal already.

my latest blood test

Mewwwy Mew!!! Me and momma got the results of my latest blood test, and my ALT is down from 339 2 weeks ago to 241. This is good news, as anything that isn't showing an upward trend is good mews. Me and momma get to go to the vet again in 2-3 weeks to check it again. Paws crossed that we have a good trend.

Last week I found out that my cyclosporine test came back from the lab and that the level of cyclosporine in my blood was at half the therapeutic dose level. They are doubling how many of those horrible capsules I have to take and then I'll be getting my blood taken again this week for another check.

It's been a hard week for my momma because as much as she worries about me when I'm well, she worries double time when my bloodwork is not perfect and triple time now that there is a "bad trend". I've been very happy lately though, Orion has not been bugging me hardly at all anymore and I love to be out and about with my momma and brothers now. I want to thank my sweetie Sky who always checks up on me, and sent me a very thoughtful heart. I want to thank Muppet who is one of my new friends for the lovely diamond, and my lovely friend Katie for a new star. I want to thank Hazel Lucky and her Husband Buddie for the slice of watermelon and the lovely blue get well ribbon. All of my friends on catster are all so wonderful, and me and momma both are greatful to have you and enjoy the pawmails (we let momma read them too, she is a total softie!! MOL!!!)

Momma called up my vet again yesterday and he called us back today because she is "always thinking" MOL!!! She asked him to check to see if the fact that I'm now 18 pounds could effect my cyclosporine dose. He said yes.. in any event, momma is taking me to the vet this weekend to draw my blood again for the test to check those levels out.
